  • 1. Displaying comments in Word documents Comments are added to Word documents as part of the “Reviewing” suite and thus the Reviewing toolbar should be displayed. To do this select “View Toolbars Reviewing” The Reviewing toolbar Nigel Gibson © 2003
  • 2. Select “Show” and check the “Comments” option. The way in which comments are displayed depends, in part, on which page view option is selected in the “View” menu. As with most elements of MS Word there are other ways of displaying comments. You might also try selecting “View Markup”. This will show all mark-up elements on the document – this includes Comment: Here is a comment comments. showing the leading line which indicates where the comment “belongs” in the flow of the document.
