Making the most of a story. Rudolph the Reindeer.

  1. 1. One Christmas not too long ago Rudolph, a very special Santa’s deer, was standing alone on the day before Christmas. He watched as the other reindeer ran and played together, they had such fun. Rudolph was small but that wasn't the reason the others didn't ask him to join the reindeer games.
  2. 2. Why do you think the other reindeer didn’t let Rudolph play with them? a. b. c. d. He had a red nose He was a bad reindeer He didn’t like Christmas His fur colour was different from the others’. Rudolph was a black reindeer!
  3. 3. Rudolph had a big, bright red nose. It was not a regular reindeer nose at all, it was so bright it seemed to glow. The other deer laughed at Rudolph because of his nose. They rolled in the snow and didn’t let him play with them. Rudolph walked back to the stable, lonely and very, very sad. As it was Christmas, Santa Claus and his reindeer started to get ready!
  4. 4. What happened next? a. Santa’s sleigh was broken b. One of the most important Reindeer got ill c. The presents were not ready to deliver and Santa got angry! d. It was a foggy Christmas Eve and Santa couldn’t see the children’s houses
  5. 5. The night came and everyone was loading Santa's sleigh with presents. Suddenly, the weather became foggy and Santa started to get worried. By the time they had gone high up in the sky, he realised he couldn’t see anything because it was dark and foggy. Santa and the reindeer were flying in circles. What would happen to Christmas? Who would deliver the presents?
  6. 6. What happened next? a. Rudolph guided Santa’s sleigh thanks to his shiny nose b. Santa Claus made the fog go away thanks to a magic spell c. There was no Christmas that year and children didn’t receive their presents d. Santa and the other reindeers had got lost but Rudolph found them
  7. 7. Santa was quite worried, he didn't even know how to get back to the North Pole! All of a sudden, he could see a red light and it was glowing. “What could it be?” he thought. It was Rudolph! And he guided the sleigh that foggy Christmas eve! The rest of the reindeer loved him and he became the most famous reindeer of all!
