Offer Chat to the Prospective Clients When you land on a web page, usually a visible live chat support option is available there. However, when someone makes a Google search, he may land on the page,he was not looking for. Such types of website visitors utilize a lot of valuable time of the live chat supportoperators and can end up engaging them in unpleasant or completely unnecessary conversations. When such an incident occurs, it is good to enable a chat greeting that will activate after a specific amount of time. Have Patience and Empathize No matter how careful you are, you are bound to come across instances when you stumble across someone confused. You must remember these visitors did not visit your intentionally; however, with the right tactics you can convince them that they have come to the right place. You will be expected to answer the questions they may be having or to guide them to the company they were looking for in the first place. A good way to handle a similar situation would be to quickly explain the visitorthat he is confusing the current company with another company and that you’d be more than happy to guide him. This can be done finding out an email address or a phone number. Good deeds definitely go a long way. Cut off Chats As a live chat provider, one should be prepared for visitors such as bored children or people just waiting for you to mess up so that you can be reported and even abusers using bad language. Before cutting off a chat or banning it you must be absolutely certain that the chatter is intentionally trying to annoy you. Otherwise refrain from cutting off.
