IAIとは… IAI is…
• IAIはThe Information Architecture Institute（日本名：
情報アーキテクチャ研究所）の略です。
IAI stands for “The Information Architecture Institute”.
• IAIは、2002年夏に設立されたアシロマ情報アーキテク
チャ研究所（AIfIA）を母体とした米国501(6)の非営利の
団体で、情報アーキテクチャの研究学会です。
IAI is a non-profit 501(6)c professional organization for Information Architecture field, originally established as Asilomar Institutes of
Information Architecture (AIfIA) in Summer of 2002.
• 現在、全世界80カ国、1,400人以上のIA、UX、IxD領域
のプロフェッショナルが参加しています。
Currently, over 1,400 members from over 80 countries, professional practitioners from various fields, such as IA, UX, and IxD.

主な活動 Major activities.
• IAの専門領域の整備（プラットフォームの整備）
Maintain and improve IA community as a “Platform”.
• IAライブラリーやツールの開発
Develop IA tools, such as IA Library.
• 各国のローカルグループのサポート
Support IA Local Group.
• イベントカレンダー、情報共有
Event Calendar, sharing industry up-to-date information.
• 独自の大会やイベントの開催（大きなものは春と秋に2回）
Event sponsorship, and hold original annual events. (IA Summit in Spring, IDEA in Autumn)
• 教育プログラムの開発やメンター指導
IA Education Initiative, Mentoring Program, IA Grant Program, etc.
• Job board（求人募集の共有）
Member only Job board.
• その他、翻訳プロジェクト
Translation Initiatives (TIA) …etc.
