  • 2. What is the Pacific Ring of Fire● The pacific ring of fire is a belt of volcanoes. Pacific Ocean is surrounded by this belt.● It is famous as one of the biggest orogen in the world.● Right picture is known as the pacific ring of fire.
  • 3. The relation between the earthquake and the volcano 1● There are many volcanoes in Pacific Ocean. Also there are many earthquakes.● Because the quake has deep relation to the volcano. The earthquake is caused by the activity of the plates which compose the ground on the earth.

The relation between the earthquake and the volcano 2● When they collide each other, the earthquake happen and this activity makes the magma.● So the place which has many volcanoes is often struck by the earthquake.● Upper picture is the places of the volcanoes. Lower is the place the quakes happened .
  • 5. This ring makes many earthquakes● This ring makes about 90% of earthquakes in the world.● In addition, the earthquake made by it occupies 80% of the largest earthquake in the past.
  • 6. Countries in the Pacific ring of fire● Due to the wide range of this ring, many countries are suffered from the earthquake. For example, Japan, the USA, Chile, New Zealand and Canada and so on.● Chile and Japan were struck by major earthquake many times in the past.
  • 7. The thread of the volcanoes● Countries in the ring have many quakes. Also they have many active volcanoes.● An eruption is the thread for them because the magma and volcanic ash deprives the living places.
