  • 4. Introduction Google car is a vehicle equipped with an autopilot system that is capable of driving from one point to another without guidance by a human operator. The Google Driverless Car is a project by Google that involves developing technology for driverless cars.
  • 5. Contd..... The systems currently under development work by simulating human perception and decision-making during steering of a car via advanced computer software linked to a range of sensors such as cameras, radar and GPS. Google lobbied for two bills that made Nevada the first state where driverless vehicles can be legally operated on public roads.
  • 6. Advantages Avoiding crashes by eliminating driver error Increasing roadway capacity by reducing the distances between cars and better managing traffic flow Relieving vehicle occupants from driving and navigating chores, so allowing them to concentrate on other tasks or to rest during their journeys
  • 7.  Eliminate the need for drivers licenses, rules of the road, traffic lights, traffic signs, highway patrols and vehicle insurances. Fuel Efficiency since cars are running in more organized manner
