    • Scientist organize organism into different categories
    • This is based on which organism share a similar building plan
    • There is a prime example of organization in the body of organisms

    • The cell is the basic structure and function of all living things
      • A simple organism might only have 1 cell like an Ameba
      • Complex organisms have many cells
        • Most cells have organelles
          • Organelles are specialized structures that have specific life functions
  • 4. Multi cellular organism- Tissue
    • Cells may be grouped together for a common purpose in organisms
      • The group of cells grouped together with a specific function is called ____________.
        • Ex. A muscle is a form of tissue
          • A single cell can not pick up a feather but when the cells form a tissue muscle they have incredible strength
  • 5. Organs
    • Different types of tissue may be combined to form an ___________ .
      • Heart
      • Liver

    • Organs may work together to form an organ system
