    1. THE POWER of and How to create a vision/dream board that you will love and live by By Niña Terol-Zialcita http://theartofchangemaking.wordpress.com
    2. First: What is a dream board ? (or a vision board) A dream board, simply put, is a collage filled with images and words that connect with YOU. © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    3. But it’s not just ANY collage It’s a collage that depicts your vision, hopes, dreams, and goals for YOURSELF. It is a picture of LIFE AS YOU WOULD WANT IT. © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    4. “Conscious choice is creative, the heart of authenticity” ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach, Something More © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    5. Some guide questions: How would I want to live the rest of my life? What else would I like to have or achieve? What truly matters to me? What defines me? What will give meaning to my life? © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    6. Ingredients for your dream board A light and positive attitude. There is no space for fear or doubt in this exercise! • Old, colorful magazines • A large illustration board • Cutting and pasting supplies A quiet space where (scissors and glue) you can think (your • You can also add: markers, comfort zone will do). crayons, glitters, embellishments… Play some soft music OH… AND PLEASE anything that will bring your dream if you wish to do so. REMEMBER TO board to life! BRING YOUR IMAGINATION!  © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    7. NOW WHAT? Spend about an hour (or 30 minutes, if you don’t have too much time) going over the magazines and just TEARING OUT the images that hit you. Don’t think! If you like something, rip it off. Don’t worry yet about where to put it on your board. Just CUT, CUT, CUT… RIP, RIP, RIP. © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    8. THEN… Once you’re satisfied that you have all the images you need at that particular moment, start laying them out on your board. They don’t have to be laid out flawlessly. Just arrange the images and words the way you feel like arranging them. If you want to add extra drawings, colors, or other embellishments, go ahead. Take your time while doing this. DON’T RUSH. © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita

    10. BUT WAIT! Dreamboarding doesn’t end when the board itself is completed. Take some more time to look at your dreamboard and process the thoughts and feelings that enter your head and heart. ARE YOU REALIZING SOMETHING NEW? © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    11. Some more guide questions: (It will help if you write down the answers in a journal) What struck me about my dream board? Is there something here that I used to think wasn’t so important to me? What does this say about my priorities and desired direction? How do I bring myself closer to achieving this? Is there anything I need to get rid off in order to make space for all this? © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    12. “Most new discoveries are suddenly- seen things that were always there.” ~ Susanne K. Langer © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
    13. You have just taken the FIRST STEP toward DEFINING YOUR DREAMS FOR YOURSELF. Hang your dream board where you can see it every day, preferably in your bedroom. BE PROUD OF IT! AND REMEMBER THAT THIS IS ONLY STEP 1. The rest of the steps is now up to YOU.  © 2009 Niña Terol-Zialcita
