Species

  1. 1. Different species, like fish and humans, cannot reproduce together. However some slightly different species can reproduce………
  2. 2. Horses and donkeys can reproduce to make a mule Lions and tigers can reproduce to make a liger However, ligers and mules can not reproduce. This means that tigers and lions are a different species, as are horses and donkeys
  3. 3. Even within the same species there are variations
  4. 4. Write what is the same about everybody in the picture. Write some differences between the people in the picture.
  5. 5. Some variations are inherited, for example eye or hair colour. This means they are passed on from parents to children. Some variations are environmental, for example weight. This means they are caused by the way we live. Some variation is caused by both our parents and our environment. For example your skin colour can be inherited from your parents, but it can change if you live in a sunny or cold country.
