Buddy is designed to complement and enhance the delivery ofmental health services and to empower users by harnessing the power of mobile phones to enable bettertherapeutic relationships and to prompt positive change in a way which wraps around users‟ daily lives.How it worksBuddy provides a daily text messaging service linked to a web application to help service users keep an e-diaryof what they are doing and how they are feeling, helping them to work in better collaboration, to better understandtheir condition and to work with their clinician to spot and reinforce positive behaviours. Buddy also usesbehaviour change tools which allow users to set and receive timely goal reminders via SMS. It also reminds usersof appointments and enables them to set the agenda.
