History <ul><li>Founded on June 5, 1969 by Governor Preston Smith. </li></ul><ul><li>University was established on 1970 but students attented class till 1975 due to the construction being done. </li></ul><ul><li>Began with 5 colleges: </li></ul><ul><li>Business, Fine and Applied </li></ul><ul><li>Arts, Humanities and Social </li></ul><ul><li>Sciences, Multidisciplinary </li></ul><ul><li>Studies and Science and </li></ul><ul><li>Mathematics. </li></ul>

BACHELOR'S DEGREE Requirements <ul><li>Complete a minimum of 120 semester credit hours in which at least 39 need to be upper-division level </li></ul><ul><li>Complete the University Core Curriculum </li></ul><ul><li>Complete the major and support work requirements and the free elective requirements for the desired degree </li></ul><ul><li>All students must complete 6 semester credit hours of American or Texas history. </li></ul><ul><li>All students must complete 6 semester credit hours of government or political science, including the Constitution of the United States and constitutions of states, with special emphasis on Texas. </li></ul><ul><li>Also achieve an overall 2.0 grade point average in all work attempted at UTSA and a 2.0 grade point average in all work included in the major. </li></ul>
