  7. 7. HEALTHWISE TRAINING 1.1 <ul><li>First: - </li></ul><ul><li>A company relies on independent representatives, or distributors, to sell its products and services directly to consumers. That’s why it’s called “direct selling”. </li></ul>

HEALTHWISE TRAINING 1.1 <ul><li>In direct selling, you don’t need retail space or massive and costly advertising campaigns. </li></ul><ul><li>The independent representatives, using a variety of marketing vehicles, dynamically advance products and services to the point of purchase. </li></ul>

HEALTHWISE TRAINING 1.1 <ul><li>Second: - </li></ul><ul><li>The representatives are granted the opportunity to build their own independent sales organisation and network of marketers – giving rise to the phrase building a down line. (the term down line is discussed in the following paragraph) The representatives receive a percentage of the cash revenues generated monthly by the network. </li></ul>
  10. 10. HEALTHWISE TRAINING 1.1 <ul><li>Figure 1-1: illustrates a simple, clear example of a down line. Simon’s down line consists of all the people under him in his sales organisation. Simon is in Kelvin and Mary’s up line (the line above them that continues even up above Simon). Kelvin and Mary are on Simon’s first level. Vel, Han, Gel, and Jen are on Simon’s second level. There are two legs to Simon’s organisation. Kelvin’s side comprises one leg of Simon’s down line, and Mary’s side comprises the other. </li></ul>

HEALTHWISE TRAINING 1.1 <ul><li>• WHY IT WORKS </li></ul><ul><li>Even in a strong economy, many people need supplemental income. </li></ul><ul><li>“ most people live pay check to pay check, most people can’t afford the nice things they want, or to send their kids off to college, and since there’s seldom the opportunity to make more money in their full-time job, they start a part-time network marketing business.” </li></ul>

Joining a network marketing company usually entitles the distributor to receive commissions on sales of products or services sold, as well as for recruiting other distributors. </li></ul>Isn’t it the same as pyramids?

HEALTHWISE TRAINING 1.1 <ul><li>On the other hand, Pyramid schemes have a similar structure but a completely different focus. </li></ul><ul><li>Pyramid schemes reward members for recruiting new distributors, and generally overlook the marketing and selling of merchandise. Most countries today outlaw pyramiding. </li></ul>Pyramids???

When that happens, the plan collapse and most of the people involved – except perhaps those at the very top of the pyramid – lose their money. </li></ul>

HEALTHWISE TRAINING 1.1 <ul><li>In network marketing, every distributor, regardless of education, gender, race, or creed, has an equal chance to make he big money or at least the amount of money he desires. </li></ul><ul><li>The truth is that network marketers can control their financial destiny; people with jobs cannot. </li></ul>
