2. 2.

-Changes of the Seasons” is a mural painting in progress. Presently it is 70 feet long.

-The Mural presently consists of seventeen 4’ x 3’ canvassed panels that join together to create an elongated picture image.

-Each panel is intended to stand alone as a pictorial image, as well as being a part of the whole mural.

-The mural will make full circle so that there would be no beginning and no end to the image when completed.

-Reproductions:

Twelve panels will be selected to create a calendar.

Details and individual panels of the mural are note card, print illustrations and framed prints.

An accordion fold children’s book is being created which narrates a story for displaced children.

Changes of the Seasons
 3. 3. Changes of the Seasons

This is the first work of art Griswold created in which there is little foresight to the premeditated content. The painting has taken itself in the process. She let the forms and figures evolve from suggested brush strokes.

A seasonal change is one of the overall themes, as it will take many months of fragmented moments for this painting to evolve. The process has allowed her the freedom to incorporate daily observations and sensitivity of environmental changes into this mural.

Each Panel represented surprisingly includes a multitude of both clear and suggested images,

The viewer will find more images with deeper observation.

Skulls of Life’s Past Field of Feathers
 4. 4. Changes of the Seasons

Griswold exhibits this mural as it is in progress and is frequently seeking new exhibition and installation space in which the viewing is enhanced.

These photos show the first show of the mural at The Jasper Rand Art Museum in Westfield, Massachusetts. The gallery was refurbished by February 2005 and Griswold’s mural was selected for the opening show. Director: Christopher Lindquist and Administrative Assistant: Candy Pennington saw to advertising and this show was heavily visited including a girl scout troop.

The mural has also been shown in various other locations including Montpelier, Vermont but has not been shown in its entirety since the Westfield, Ma. Show.

Photograph by John Kaptinski

This may be the story of a little leaf that sees his life as a journey into the unexpected after he is ripped from the tree of life during a storm. This story is intended to offer solace and a new perspective for young children who feel displaced, orphaned or have endured radical changes during their childhood that are difficult to deal with.

Griswold seeks publisher and writer for the book project The Journey of Little Leaf into the Land of Wishika
