    2. A workshop on ‘Digital Visialization’28 September, 2008
      The Digital Archive office at HD Kote conducted a workshop for the Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe students at First grade Government Hostel, HD Kote on the 28th of September.24 participants attended the workshop. The workshop had three sessions. In the first session, Mr. Rayson spoke on “Visual Media as an Art.” Then Mr. Rajasekar spoke on “Visual Media as Science.” The third was a practical session where the participants were divided into two groups and were given cameras to both the groups. They were asked to take photographs on the topic “My School.” Mr. Rajasekar, Mr. Rayson, Mr. Sailendra and Mr. Ksheerasagar accompanied the groups. It was surprising that the students had interest and talent for photography. Some excellent photographs had come out. The workshop was a one-day programme. It began at 11.am and ended at 3.30 pm. This was a unique exposure to the students in the hostel.

    6. Workshop on ‘Folklore in Digital Medium’07 August, 2009
      A workshop was organized by Community Digital Archives for Jenukurubar, H.D. Kote, in collaboration with Vivekananda School of Learning, Sangur, run by Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Mysore, at Vivekananda School for learning, Sargur, on 07 August, 2009. The workshop was organized for interested tribal students in classes 8, 9 and 10. Students belonging to four communities, namely, Jenukurubar, Bettukurubar, Eravar and Soligar, attended the workshop. The workshop began at 2.00pm in the computer laboratory of the school. There were 40 students who participated in the workshop.
