What can we obtain ? <ul><li>The users become involved in developing the future library. </li></ul><ul><li>Acknowledgement of needs, known as well as unknown. </li></ul><ul><li>Challenging the users to new approaches. </li></ul><ul><li>BUT </li></ul><ul><li>it is not the users that drive the process - they are a part of it. </li></ul><ul><li>REMEMBER </li></ul><ul><li>to show your respect for the hours contributed to the process by the participants. </li></ul>

How is it done ? <ul><li>planning – planning – planning - planning </li></ul><ul><li>► before planning it is </li></ul><ul><li>essential to “ground” </li></ul><ul><li>That everyone participates in the whole process – all meetings etc. </li></ul><ul><li>That you all are clear on each other and the assignment. </li></ul><ul><li>That you are clear on the role of each member of the team. </li></ul><ul><li>That everyone is committed to project. </li></ul><ul><li>That you establish a meeting culture, so that all are clear on status and what is next. </li></ul>

What did we become aware of? <ul><li>It only makes sense to implicate those who are willing. </li></ul><ul><li>When we involve, we must listen and act. </li></ul><ul><li>The Organization must be inclusive. </li></ul><ul><li>User innovation can open up the library. </li></ul><ul><li>Involving can open up the users. </li></ul><ul><li>Users do not get involved for your sake , but for issues they burn for – it must have relevance. </li></ul><ul><li>Personal relations are more valued than we have been aware of. </li></ul><ul><li>It takes time – devote the time that is necessary. </li></ul>
