  • 2. NexentaVSA for View NexentaVSA for View (NV4V) is a software solution that combines Nexentas 3rd generation NAS/SAN storage appliance with a powerful VDI deployment/management server. NV4V is designed to inter-operate seamlessly with VMware vCenter and View servers. The product is bundled into two virtual machines (OVF images). NV4V is designed from ground up to absorb and hide the complexity of deploying and managing virtual desktop datacenters. The product provides fully automated, GUI-driven VDI provisioning, re-calibration of existing desktop pools, I/O acceleration, performance graphics and analytics, built-in snapshots, and replication.   • 15. NexentaVSA for View Replicated HA Replicated High Availability (RHA) service periodically and incrementally replicates all desktop pools in a given ESXi Cluster. Frequency of RHA backups can be selected based on your recovery point objectives (RPO).  Manual failover / failback of an entire ESXi Cluster or an individual ESXi host(s) to a remote NexentaStor appliance  Failover operation - the replicated desktops run from a replication destination (remote NexentaStor )  Failback is the reverse operation – that returns the desktop pool to the original storage  Use RHA failover to perform maintenance operations on the ESXi hosts, e.g.: replace faulted disks15 © Copyright Nexenta 2012

External storage can either be Nexenta’s own storage appliance or a 3rd party NAS.
