  • Timing: 2 minutes Key Points:Virtualized servers, the cost of storage, and networking advancements are reshaping IT.  Speaker Notes: Today’s industry transformation is both driving and being driven by several key trends that are all built on rapidly increasing capabilities in virtualized servers, the cost of storage, and networking advancements. As we introduced in the keynote earlier today, there are four megatrends driving an evolution in how we think about IT:The emergence of new types of apps that are inherently social (like, follow, share as verbs), that use open APIs, and new app frameworks have a notion of intelligence built right in (e.g. autocomplete in every search bar). The explosion of data—both structured and unstructured—from a growing world of sources like sensors and social media is creating huge challenges for managing and processing all that data, but also creates great opportunities for smarter insights. The consumerization of IT has resulted in a proliferation of mobile devices that users bring to work and expect IT to support. It’s estimated that in 2015, the number of connected devices will be twice the number of people on the planet. Today’s users expect their apps to be available on these devices with a seamless experience. However, the need for enterprise security and compliance cannot be sacrificed to meet these expectations. And of course there’s tremendous interest in the economic benefits of cloud computing. Underneath all four of these trends, the core dynamic that is fueling all these developments is ever-increasing access to and availability of computing power, a declining cost of storage and increasingly faster networks. These core building blocks are fundamentally evolving at a rapid rate, which in turn are enabling these four trends as outcomes. This is a profound and foundational development and certainly points to the beginning of a new era in IT. This new era requires a comprehensive and holistic approach to truly realize the potential of the transformations that come with it. Much like the transitions before us from mainframes to minis, and from minis to client/server, the transformation ahead will be fueled by a redefinition of the operating system (OS). The confluence of profound changes in compute, storage, and network means that the role of the OS has to be redefined from managing an individual server as a unit of compute to managing the datacenter as a whole to enable the next generation of applications and services.  Transition: Microsoft’s answer to this is the Cloud OS.Net-ICT GroupS M A R T   I C T   A L T E R N A T I V EA:  Groenestaakstraat 57, 9030 Gent, BELGIUMT:  +32-(0)9-277.91.62  E:  info@net-ict.comW: www.net-ict.beW: www.cloud-kmo.be
  • Timing: 3 minutes Key Points:Four technology megatrends—mobile, social, cloud, and big data—are fundamentally redefining how people work and the tools that they expect to use to do their work. How enterprises embrace these technology megatrends will define their ability to compete and recruit the best emerging talent from the next generation. Speaker Notes:Earlier in the keynote presentation, we mentioned four megatrends that are radically changing enterprise IT as we know it. These trends are fundamentally changing the way that people work—creating new possibilities for improved productivity and efficiency while supporting a more flexible workstyle that better fits with today’s workers:Mobile. New mobile devices—from smartphones to tablets to ultraportable laptops—combined with increasingly prevalent Wi-Fi and cellular data access let your employees stay connected from virtually anywhere. By some estimates, more than a billion people will be using smartphones and tablets by 2016. Today’s workers are increasingly mobile and they need—and expect—to be able to choose the devices they will use and to have access from anywhere to the resources they need to do their jobs.Social. Social is similarly redefining the workplace. Social networking sites have redefined how people connect and share with each other (particularly the millennial generation, who have never known a time without their mobile phones and computers). That influence is spilling over into the workplace, and enterprises are seizing the opportunity to establish internal social tools that bring their people together in more natural ways.Cloud. The cloud is the backbone for a lot of the changes that we are seeing in technology in the enterprise today—it makes anywhere connectivity to internal resources much easier from all kinds of devices, and it provides the scalability and agility to support rapid deployment of new tools across a dispersed workforce. All of the other megatrends are really enabled by the cloud, which is why it is seeing such rapid uptake and interest across our enterprise customers.Big data. Data is everywhere thanks to the explosion in devices, the increase in digital sharing of content, and the tremendous scalability of the cloud. Data stores both inside and outside the enterprise are skyrocketing (up to 2.7 zettabytes in 2012!), and the opportunity for businesses today is to tap into those data stores and make them accessible in a way that will enable their people to get new insights and make informed, timely decisions that will drive the business forward. These “megatrends” are becoming real scenarios today for most enterprises, having a pronounced effect on how individuals work and how businesses compete. They are also increasingly a differentiator for recruiting and retaining the best talent, who expect to use the latest technology to do their jobs. Transition: These megatrends are, in turn, helping us redefine how we think about enterprise productivity. Additional Information:By 2016, smartphones and tablets will put power in the pockets of a billion global consumers. “Mobile Is the New Face of Engagement.” Forrester Research. • Timing: 2 minutesKey Points:We understand that your IT professionals need to integrate your line-of-business applications, maximize user productivity, protect your corporate information, and manage all of the devices on your network. Our goal is to empower your IT professionals to take advantage of today’s emerging technology to meet these needs.Speaker Notes:Of course, technology trends on their own aren’t going to revolutionize your business or help you stay competitive. How you adopt new technology and put it to work in your business will ultimately be the responsibility of IT. We know how important it is to ensure that the technology solutions Microsoft offers truly empower your IT professionals to deliver what the business needs. What are those needs? We’re hearing from IT that they need to:Integrate new devices and applications with their existing line-of-business apps, for a seamless experience that keeps people productive and connected to the business.Help maximize end user productivity, with solutions that put the tools users need at their fingertips, wherever they happen to be working from, and that connect them with the people, information, and content they rely on to do their jobs well.Ensure that corporate data and resources are protected and secure, even as access to those data and resources becomes possible from an increasing number of devices and apps.Fully manage all devices on the network, both local and remote—a task that is becoming ever more complicated as users bring more and more devices into the enterprise and work from more and more locations. Our goal is to deliver ground-breaking technology that empowers IT to take advantage of the latest trends without compromise.Transition: This year Microsoft is introducing some new technology releases that will do just that—give your IT professionals the tools they need to help you innovate and compete while meeting the core needs of the business in all new ways.Net-ICT GroupS M A R T   I C T   A L T E R N A T I V EA:  Groenestaakstraat 57, 9030 Gent, BELGIUMT:  +32-(0)9-277.91.62  E:  info@net-ict.comW: www.net-ict.beW: www.cloud-kmo.be
  • Timing: 3 minutes Key Points:Microsoft is helping enterprises embrace a new era of productivity by investing in four critical areas: mobile, social, cloud, and control. Speaker Notes:A new era of productivity demands a new approach to technology in the enterprise, and today we’ve looked at what that means at Microsoft.Microsoft is focused on delivering technology to support you in four areas:Devices. With today’s more flexible workstyle and a growing selection of new device types, Microsoft is supporting a comprehensive range of devices based on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8—from full desktop PCs, to laptops, to tablets, to smartphones. Microsoft is also delivering more immersive app experiences to enable productivity without compromise. And with the anywhere connectivity enabled by Wi-Fi and mobile data access, Microsoft is providing a range of mobile solutions that help your people stay productive on the go without compromising security.Social. Just as new devices are infiltrating the enterprise, so too are social computing technologies. Microsoft is integrating social into every aspect of the productivity platform, helping transform the way your people work and connect with customers while providing a unified platform for IT. Microsoft is also making real-time communications capabilities pervasive, so your people are just a click or gesture away from connecting with each other and with your partners and customers. And Microsoft is enabling online connections to help them share information, discover expertise, and analyze data collaboratively to make more informed, smarter business decisions.Cloud. The cloud underpins the new era of productivity by providing the connectivity, scalability, and agility demanded by a more flexible workstyle, the explosion in device types, and social connections online. Microsoft is using the power of the cloud to deliver seamless, personalized experiences across devices—experiences that follow users wherever they go. Microsoft’s cloud approach is also benefiting IT, by providing simpler and faster options for handling app development and deployment. And across cloud services, Microsoft is focused on delivering the scalability, security, reliability, and performance that you need to keep your business competitive and protected.Control. And finally, even as the productivity platform enables more flexibility, Microsoft is giving you more options for control. Microsoft is empowering you to deliver a more connected, secure experience by taking advantage of the end-to-end security built into Microsoft products, by providing high-fidelity virtualized experiences to users, and by taking advantage of centralized management across platforms. And Microsoft is delivering transparent and granular tools to help ease the burden on IT as they protect and manage your business’s confidential information.  Transition: So, how will you embrace the new era of productivity?Net-ICT GroupS M A R T   I C T   A L T E R N A T I V EA:  Groenestaakstraat 57, 9030 Gent, BELGIUMT:  +32-(0)9-277.91.62  E:  info@net-ict.comW: www.net-ict.beW: www.cloud-kmo.be
  • Timing: 4 minutes Key Points:We believe that many organizations are at a point of profound transformation that won’t be sufficiently addressed via a patchwork of point solutions. Microsoft is unique in its comprehensive approach as its enterprise solutions are integrated and interoperable by design. Microsoft offers people an unparalleled experience across today’s devices, while maximizing IT flexibility and providing the platform and services that can truly accelerate your business.  Speaker Notes:Microsoft believes that many organizations are at a point of profound transformation that won’t be sufficiently addressed via a patchwork of point solutions. Microsoft is committed to helping your business be what’s next, with the most comprehensive range of integrated solutions today and the most complete vision for the future.[Empowering your people]For your people, Microsoft offers an unparalleled range of integrated, connected solutions that help provide a seamless experience across people’s personal work lives. Microsoft’s approach is to deliver solutions that are integrated by design across devices and services. From productivity, communications, collaboration, and business apps, to device management and identity, to the underlying database and platform, Microsoft’s goal is to deliver a connected experience that works together seamlessly and naturally, the way people expect it to work. The result? Get more done, faster, without limits. We live in an amazing time for technology. At home, when we use our personal devices, we’ve become accustomed to a highly connected experience where all of our apps and information are at our fingertips and the experience has become highly intuitive. It’s easy to watch movies, read books, play games, and share photos and documents. Microsoft has some of the most popular consumer technology available today, including Skype for communications, SkyDrive for online file storage, the Xbox gaming platform, and Bing search. And Microsoft is continually introducing new technology to make the consumer experience more connected, such as SmartGlass, which enables you to effortlessly move pictures and video between devices. What this brings to the user is really remarkable. We also know that people consume information in a different way depending on the device they are using—tablets, PCs, or even business whiteboards. In each case, Windows 8 makes it easy to personalize the experience and get it just right. With Windows 8, devices and applications truly work together with a common user interface, a common browser, a common cloud back end, a common graphics system. And these connected devices give you the same version of the truth regardless of the device you are using. That integration doesn’t stop with consumer services. Microsoft has also integrated business applications into the productivity tools your people use every day. For example, you can easily have customer information from Microsoft Dynamics CRM in Outlook and be able to access it without having to go to another app and sign in again. From Outlook you can easily access a secured report stored on SharePoint, see the presence information for the author of the report, and with a quick click can connect with them in real time using Lync or Skype. Form factors and user interface are going to continue to evolve. And you can be assured that Microsoft will be at the forefront on this as it always has been—from keyboard and mouse to touch to gesture and speech-based interfaces. [Maximizing IT flexibility]Microsoft offers you the flexibility to use what’s right for your business. It’s never about a one-size-fits-all approach, but rather the freedom to decide what’s best for your business—from the mix of products to whether you run your technology locally and/or subscribe to cloud services or want a hybrid approach that fits your unique organization. Our IT customers are entering a new era—a new era for the way they build applications; a new era for the way they manage and deploy applications and devices. Between the consumerization of IT and the move to the cloud, a lot of what IT provided, from deployment to systems integration, is being radically revised and simplified. Throughout this transformation, we are here to help our customers maximize the return on your IT existing investment and best position you for the future. Through Microsoft’s work in the private and public cloud, business applications, Office and System Center, Yammer and Skype, the goal is to enable people to use the devices they want to use while also enabling enterprises to protect corporate information. At the same time, Microsoft knows that you will have more than just Microsoft solutions in your business, and so also designs for openness, building bridges across technology. Microsoft believes this builds choice, drives innovation, and creates opportunities.Microsoft is committed to establishing and maintaining open connections between our high-volume products and non-Microsoft products, such as through external protocols and application programming interfaces (APIs). Microsoft is committed to supporting relevant standards in our products. We contribute to, and collaborate with, more than 150 standards organizations on an annual basis.Microsoftalso participates in a wide variety of other specification development initiatives with groups of industry leaders and publishes Microsoft specifications in order to enhance the interoperability of our products and services. Once customers use one software product to store their data, Microsoft believes they should be able to subsequently access that data in a form that permits its use in other software products. Microsoft openly engagesand collaborates with several standards bodies, customer councils, and industry groups. For example, Microsoft is a key member of the Interop Vendor Alliance, a community of software and hardware vendors working together to enhance interoperability across a variety of systems.[Accelerating your Business]We’re committed to helping you maximize the return on your investments in Microsoft solutions. Whether that means saving money, growing revenue, attracting and retaining customers, or driving innovation. Over the last two decades, Microsoft has invested to build the most comprehensive range of enterprise solutions of any technology company. In today’s business climate, people expect the technology they use at work to be as simple as the technology they use at home. Today’s technology is expanding the possibilities for connecting people and helping businesses be more proactive and dynamic to change. For example…Across your business, we can help you foster a culture of innovation with a connected productivity platform that embraces today’s social trends and makes it easier for people to communicate, whether through text, voice, or video. We can also help you maximize business performance with technology that enables people to make smarter, faster decisions with democratized business analytics tools and the power of big data. And this same technology can also help you reduce costs. In marketing, sales, service and support, we can help you grow your business through more connected and differentiated customer experiences. We’re also here to help our customers (you) create new customers. Microsoft’s experience with consumers can help you connect to new customers around the world through advertising, mobile, integrated marketing and social listening. While Microsoft is obviously a technology company, it’s also a media company that can help you differentiate your business through unique customer experiences. Microsoft has tremendous reach and scale to help you do this, from Microsoft Advertising, to Windows and Windows Phone, to our search vehicle (Bing), to our gaming platform (Xbox is one of the leading gaming platforms today), to consumer services such as Skype and Windows Live. Microsoftcan help you take your brand from a website or physical presence to multiple channels—mobile devices, tablets, kiosks, interactive digital displays, gaming consoles, and so on—all while providing a consistent experience across screens. In summary, Microsoft offers people an unparalleled experience across today’s devices, while maximizing IT flexibility and providing the platform and services that can truly accelerate your business.  Transition: We’d certainly like to continue this conversation and find more ways that Microsoft can help you differentiate your business.  Additional Information:Microsoft interoperability site: http://www.microsoft.com/opennessNet-ICT GroupS M A R T   I C T   A L T E R N A T I V EA:  Groenestaakstraat 57, 9030 Gent, BELGIUMT:  +32-(0)9-277.91.62  E:  info@net-ict.comW: www.net-ict.beW: www.cloud-kmo.be
  • Timing: 2 minutes Key Points:Start by upgrading to Windows Server 2012 to take advantage of modern virtualization capabilities. Then look to System Center 2012 and SQL Server 2012 to help automate your datacenter and enable self-service.And finally, Windows Azure can provide you with greater agility and help you drive out cost with IaaS. Speaker Notes: I hope we’ve given you a good overview of what’s possible in the new era of the Cloud OS. There are three steps I’d like to recommend for how you can start taking advantage of the Cloud OS today.Upgrading to Windows Server 2012, which offers in-the-box capabilities and enhancements across a number of areas, is the #1 opportunity to start transforming your datacenter. If you’re already using Hyper-V, Microsoft’s third-generation virtualization capabilities (including new network virtualization) provide significantly improved capacity and performance, enabling you to shrink your overall IT footprint and reduce costs. And if you’re not, you can start taking advantage of Hyper-V and use a single toolset to manage your entire environment.Second, System Center 2012 (including Configuration Manager and Operations Manager) as well as SQL server 2012 can help you greatly automate your datacenter and increase IT productivity. Many of our customers that already have System Center on their Enterprise Agreement (EA) are taking advantage of only a small portion of the available technology. I’d like to encourage you to work with your account team to explore how we can help you automate your environment and realize the promise of dynamic IT.With new Windows Azure IaaS capabilities, you can seamlessly move VMs between your datacenter and the public cloud. For many IT organizations, IaaS is becoming a key strategy to managing VM growth and providing dynamic IT capacity. Microsoft’s approach enables you to seamlessly move VMs to the cloud and back again, providing IT with both ease and flexibility. And with Windows Azure, you can also develop modern applications and services using Microsoft’s enterprise-grade PaaS capabilities. Transition: As you leave today, here are a few ways for you to learn more about how the Cloud OS can benefit your business.Net-ICT GroupS M A R T   I C T   A L T E R N A T I V EA:  Groenestaakstraat 57, 9030 Gent, BELGIUMT:  +32-(0)9-277.91.62  E:  info@net-ict.comW: www.net-ict.beW: www.cloud-kmo.be
  • Timing: 3 minutes (with video) Key Point:Running some of the largest consumer and business cloud services in the world has taught Microsoft what it takes to architect, build, and run applications and services at cloud scale. Speaker Notes: Given the unprecedented nature of the transformation, first-hand experience and on-going learning is crucial to delivering applications and services on a cloud platform. With any platform, it’s the feedback cycle from apps that drive its success. Currently, Microsoft handles 5.5 billion+ Bing queries a month worldwide, manages & powers 350 million active Hotmail accounts, and serves 40 million Xbox Live users. This is just a sample of the 200+ services that Microsoft runs for hundreds of millions of customers globally, 24x7.Running these services has taught Microsoft what it takes to architect, build, and run applications and services at cloud scale. You may have seen some media coverage about how the Bing team has already deployed Windows Server 2012 in its release candidate version, and is realizing tremendous benefits. This kind of first-hand feedback cycle gives Microsoft a tremendous advantage in delivering great value to customers in the Cloud OS. Microsoft is taking all this learning back into platform, to the engines of the Cloud OS, Windows Azure, and Windows Server, and beyond to System Center, SQL Server, and Visual Studio, which when combined, deliver Microsoft’s modern platform. Now let’s hear more from customers like you who are using this platform.[Play Video 2_Customer_SizzleReel_Montage_8000K (\\fsu\shares\WSMMLaunch\FINAL_KEYNOTE_MATERIALS\FINAL_KEYNOTE_VIDEOS) – 1 minute, 30 seconds] If you have a video that showcases customers in your local market, please use that instead. Transition: Let’s now explore how you can start to take advantage of the Cloud OS in your own datacenters.Net-ICT GroupS M A R T   I C T   A L T E R N A T I V EA:  Groenestaakstraat 57, 9030 Gent, BELGIUMT:  +32-(0)9-277.91.62  E:  info@net-ict.comW: www.net-ict.beW: www.cloud-kmo.be
  • Timing: 2 minutes Key Points:Microsoft has evolved from a largely software-based company to a devices and services company.Microsoft can offer you unique value, using the depth of itsexperience with both consumer and enterprise technologies to deliver the experiences that your users want combined with the enterprise-grade solutions that your business needs. Speaker Notes: It wasn’t that long ago that Microsoft was largely a software company. Today, Microsoft has redefined its approach to take advantage of these powerful trends, to redefine Microsoft’s vision for productivity. Microsoft is becoming a devices and services company. What does that mean?Microsoft is working to give you the best productivity experience across all your devices. Whether you call it a post-PC or a plus-PC era, it’s about enabling your people to stay productive and connected to your business and documents, while giving them the flexibility to use the device of their choice: PC, smartphone, or tablet.Microsoft also offers a unique approach to the cloud, giving you the flexibility to adopt the cloud on your own timeline. You have the option of splitting users or workloads between on-premises and the cloud, so you can decide on the best migration path and pace for your business.Microsoft’s long-term strategy is to provide you with the experiences and devices that your users love and demand, while delivering enterprise-grade solutions for your company. This is where Microsoft can deliver unique value. We believe that Microsoft has the most comprehensive and differentiated vision, and is in the best position in the industry to deliver on it. Nobody else in the market today has the same depth of experience with both consumer and enterprise technologies and an understanding of both what consumers want and what enterprises need. Microsoft is committed to providing you with highly secure and manageable technologies that offer the best possible experiences.  Transition: Let’s have a closer look at Microsoft’s vision, and what it really means for your business.Net-ICT GroupS M A R T   I C T   A L T E R N A T I V EA:  Groenestaakstraat 57, 9030 Gent, BELGIUMT:  +32-(0)9-277.91.62  E:  info@net-ict.comW: www.net-ict.beW: www.cloud-kmo.be

  • Timing: 4 minutes Key Points:A modern platform is one that:Enables you to manage all datacenter resources as a whole, even across multiple clouds.Supports modern apps that scale dynamically, work in our mobile world, interact and exchange data with other apps, and even foster connections through social media integration.Helps unlock insights on any data, anywhere.Enables you to deliver personalized experience to any device, anywhere, in secure and well-managed way. Speaker Notes: Transforming datacenters is at the core of the notion of the Cloud OS. As Microsoft reimagines the OS for the datacenter, it’s clear that the OS needs to move from managing resources one server node at a time, to managing all datacenter resources as a whole, even across multiple clouds. This approach makes the resources available to apps in a scalable and elastic way. Of course there's no point in doing that unless you have high availability—always up, always on. You also want to really build for multi-tenancy and not allow for any one application to hijack all of the resources. And lastly, there's no way to achieve a desirable total cost of ownership (TCO) if you don't automate everything, and self-service is a key aspect of that. When we look at today’s modern apps, they are becoming much more dynamic. They need to scale dynamically, work in our mobile world, interact and exchange data with other apps, and even foster connections through social media integration (i.e., “like” and “share”). Modern apps need to quickly scale to meet increasing customer demand. Microsoft enables you to easily scale up or scale out, as well as to quickly respond to market dynamics with minimal IT needs through self-service provisioning or managed cloud services.Apps can live in your datacenter, a hoster's datacenter, in a public or private cloud, or even span these locations, optimizing data collection and processing with a hybrid approach. When apps can span environments, they can provide greater customer reach and capabilities, while maintaining needs for data sovereignty. Microsoft’s approach is to empower your people to use existing skillsets to more quickly build, deploy, and manage modern apps, enabling a rapid, dynamic lifecycle. Support for industry-standard .NET, Visual Studio, and Eclipse are built to work together, but they also interoperate with open source standards, open source apps via REST APIs, and the programming languages that matter, including Node.js, Java, and PHP. The Cloud OS is also about helping unlock insights on any data. With lower storage costs and growing data volumes, especially with unstructured data, businesses are processing larger volumes/varieties of data and asking new questions. The Cloud OS allows you to embrace data’s new scope, scale, and diversity putting you in a position to manage and process any data of any size. Your data has a story to tell and Microsoft has a range of data management offerings across Windows Azure and SQL Server to help store, process, manage, and gain insights from all types of data, wherever the data lives. With the growth in third-party data sources, especially social data, and the ability to store historical data at lower costs, it’s no longer good enough to just understand your data, it’s about combining new data sources with your data in interesting ways to find new insights. To help you explore large volumes of data quickly and interact with the data for ad hoc analysis, the Cloud OS delivers managed access through rich, immersive experiences. Based on familiar and pervasive tools, users can do rapid data exploration and visualizations to identify new insights for better, faster business decisions. Access and usage of the data is also tracked to help IT provided managed self-service experiences. And last but not least, the Cloud OS empowers people-centric IT. At the center of people-centric IT are your users and the personalized experience they now demand. At the core of delivering this experience is an individual’s identity and a common identity system that can be extended not only across devices, but also across the full range of applications delivered both from the cloud and from on-premises. Cloud OS enables smart decisions, based on knowing who the user is and what device they are on. To get work done, people need access to their apps and data on any device, anywhere. Everyone is starting to use a wide range of devices, many of them personal devices, and expect to be able to use them to do business and have a seamless experience. And as end users embrace new devices, the Cloud OS helps you keep control in a secure & well-managed way, helping ensure your company’s assets and information are protected.  Transition: Microsoft’s approach is unique in the industry. • Timing: 1 minute Key Point:Together Windows Server, Windows Azure, and System Center deliver a compelling approach to taking advantage of the cloud.Adding SQL Server and Visual Studio provides the #1 data platform in the enterprise, helping you capitalize on big data and build modern apps. Speaker Notes: I hope you got a great sense of Microsot’s vision of the Cloud OS and the work the company has done to underpin this strategy. Microsoft has been working toward this notion of the Cloud OS for some time in one form or another and is seeing an outstanding response from customers, the press, and industry analysts for the new era of products that power the Cloud OS. With Windows Server 2012, Microsoft is seeing an overwhelming industry response with reviewers and customers saying things like “breathtaking,” “future-proofing,” “dynamite product”, “nothing from Microsoft…has ever been this ambitious.”Windows Azure adds new support for IaaS to an already-leading platform for building modern applications. And of course, SQL Server is the #1 database in the enterprise—and with Microsoft’s expertise and experience in data in the cloud, business intelligence, and big data—the company’s commitment to providing the leading data platform has never been stronger. Undoubtedly, each enterprise product and service has its own strengths and merits, but when they are brought together, they form the Cloud OS and deliver the broader benefits we talked about today. It’s an ambitious approach, designed to address the fundamental industry transformation we are all facing. That’s why it’s such a great time—a historic time be in IT—and Microsoft is excited to be leading the charge ahead. Transition: So, how do you get started? • Timing: 3 minutesKey Points:Voice of customer, excitementAdditional quotes that can used:Messaging/Collaboration “The upside to the consumerization of IT is that our employees use tools that they know and like, and that make them more productive,” (Mark Morneau, Vice President for Information Technology at Gannett.) “Inadequate mailbox size inconvenienced our associates. Employees wanted modern, integrated collaboration and communication tools they could use on all their PCs and mobile devices. We wanted to help them be more productive. It was time to find a more integrated, cost-effective solution that didn’t involve spending money on servers.” (Kelly Woodward, Director of Technology at WellPoint. ) Windows Phone“We can make changes on the go to spreadsheets and presentations. And the interoperability between desktop and Windows Phone is seamless. “ (Mike Blake Global CIO, Hyatt Hotels)“Sharpening our organization, creating transparency, and improving access to our intellectual assets [people] could only increase our flexibility and responsiveness. “ (Armand Rabinowitz, Director of IT Innovation, Hyatt)Big Data“Before, it could take as long as two weeks to manually pull data from all 35 local databases, import it into another database, and then run queries against it,” says Pinniger. “And if, after that process, the business wanted to slice that data slightly differently, we would have had to start over. Now, with the SQL Server 2012 data warehouse and xVelocity, that two-week process has been reduced to about an hour’s work, which the business users can perform themselves.” (Todd Pinniger,Senior Manager of Architecture and Product Development,Recall)“We’re very excited about working with Microsoft to develop solutions based on technologies like SQL Server PowerPivot for Excel and Hadoop so that we can continue to deliver unique services that transform what is possible with big data.” (David Mariani,Vice President of Engineering,Klout)Dynamics“With Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, we gained a global account management solution that requires no additional funds for administration.” “What’s more, in the hosted scenario, Microsoft automatically takes care of all solution updates and ensures the integrity of application and data.” (Natalie Henderson, Information Technology and Services Director of Governance, Risk and Compliance at Ball Corporation)“We looked at cost, ease of programming, and ease of use, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM was the winner in all those categories,” she says. “We also felt that, because the solution worked through the Microsoft Office interface, it would provide a familiar user experience, especially for our sales and marketing staff who practically live in email, and really help us get the levels of adoption that we needed.” (Vicki Burton, Director of CRM for CSX Transportation)“Before Microsoft Dynamics CRM, people had to go to multiple systems to get the information they needed. Now, they just go to one. That translates into a big productivity savings across the company.” (Vicki Burton, Director of CRM for CSX Transportation)Net-ICT GroupS M A R T   I C T   A L T E R N A T I V EA:  Groenestaakstraat 57, 9030 Gent, BELGIUMT:  +32-(0)9-277.91.62  E:  info@net-ict.comW: www.net-ict.beW: www.cloud-kmo.be
