      • John S. Ippolito
      • President and CEO
      • OPERATE FROM A POSITION OF PEACE
      • (Peace with ourselves and others)
      • SEE REALITY AS IT REALLY IS (Knowing and using Foundational Principles)
      • USE PRINCIPLED AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION (Engage in respectful conversation)
      • CONNECT RIGHTLY WITH YOUR TEAM AND OTHERS (Empowered beyond our own capacity and weaknesses)
      • SERVANT LEADERSHIP - A 360º CULTURE (Generous to, empowering, and encouraging of others)
      • COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE (As a personal character trait)
      • ALWAYS FINISH WELL - IN WORK AND LIFE (Being faithful and trustworthy to the end)
      • Christianity: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
      • Islam : "None of you [truly] believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.“
      • Judaism : "What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow man. This is the law: all the rest is commentary."
The “Golden Rule,” compliments and supports the Seven Principles of Epic’s Core Values. Although communicated differently the Golden Rule is universally found in most every culture. The message is that most people desire to be treated with respect and valued as a human being. This is illustrated in the following quotations:
      • Yoruba : (Nigeria): "One going to take a pointed stick to pinch a baby bird should first try it on himself to feel how it hurts."
      • Zoroastrianism :  "Whatever is disagreeable to yourself do not do unto others."
      • Jainism :  "A man should wander about treating all creatures as he himself would be treated.
      • Hinduism :  This is the sum of duty: do not do to others what would cause pain if done to you.
      • Buddhism :  Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful."
