    • Unleashing the creative power of Microsoft technology www.flarepartnership.com
    • Digital solutions – the challenge In the world of digital solutions, marketing teams often have a real challenge. Either they can use a technology partner which has some (usually limited) design capability in-house. Or they can go down the road of an integrated, or digital, agency which can offer a robust creative solution but is unlikely to be able to deliver fully on a technology level.
    • The solution – removing the ‘either/or’ factor We believe there is a solution - a true, end-to-end, design and digital agency with clients’ marketing challenges and requirements at its core.
    • That agency is called Flare. Flare was born out of the web development arm of Company Net, a top-flight technology solutions developer, and the digital and creative experience of Shaw Marketing and Design, one of the country’s leading marketing and graphic design consultancies. Why? To bring creativity, strategic marketing expertise and technology together to establish something new in the marketplace - a full service web digital agency offering a holistic approach to digital and online marketing.
    • Our people – delivering a comprehensive service to achieve your objectives The most important part of any agency is the expertise of its people. Flare is no exception. By bringing together business and marketing professionals, award-winning designers, copywriters and editors, and technical experts, we pride ourselves in making sure that we speak your language and understand your business objectives. That way, we can work with you to exploit the very best in Microsoft and other technologies in order to deliver the right business and marketing outcomes for your organisation. Through the comprehensive service offering we deliver, we can ensure that the focus is always on your objectives - and your best routes to success.
    • Some facts about Flare • Established in 2009 • Independently owned • Experienced staff from creative, technology, client services and industry backgrounds • Award-winning portfolio • Unparalleled Microsoft experience • Backed by joint turnover of £3 million
    • The next step We’d be delighted to tell you more about Flare and discuss how our service might be of benefit to you. Please give us a call or e-mail us and we’ll be happy to arrange a meeting. In the meantime, the following case studies might, we hope, be of interest in highlighting our approach to results - focused marketing solutions.

Our solution: We designed and built a major intranet site that provides up-to-date global sales and management data on the corporation’s Global Juices division (the world’s largest supplier of fruit juices) to its corporate teams worldwide. The creative project included an extensive range of data visualisation demands. Marketing and business benefits: • The site employs a visually rich approach to present and make accessible an extensive range of statistics, sales and production figures, and data. • The site presents everything in a bright, user-friendly style which has been extremely well received by the Coca-Cola management.

Our solution: We designed and built a new website that is used to maximise competitive advantage in its marketplace. It acts as a true sales tool to drive home purchases, enhance the user experience, and be easy and agile to manage for internal sales and marketing staff. Marketing and business benefits: • Improved search and navigation. • Improved usability of the site for external users. • Ease of content management for internal business staff. • Increased site traffic and user registrations.
    • Digital Content Customer Digital Data Mobile On-demand E-mail SEO and Asset Managed Relationship Maketing Visualisation Marketing Brochures Marketing Usability Management Web 2.0 Management Campaigns Sites Miller Homes Miller Homes is one of the leading privately-owned housebuilders in the United Kingdom. www.millerhomes.co.uk The client marketing challenge: I need my websites to use fresh, live data. Our solution: We designed and built a new Miller Homes website that integrated with the Group’s existing technology platform. This created an online channel that now provides property buyers with secure access to real-time information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no compromise to the aesthetic design of the sites. Marketing and business benefits: • The integration has reduced the currency of information from the website connected to the technology platform from the previous weekly update to a maximum delay of three seconds. • The website traffic has increased to 100,000 unique registered users. • A key success indicator is the increase from 13 to 50 per cent in the number of registered online users who become customers. • A key aspect of the design was ensuring that Miller’s primary line of business application was in no way compromised by presenting the data to the externally facing website.
    • Digital Content Customer Digital Data Mobile On-demand E-mail SEO and Asset Managed Relationship Maketing Visualisation Marketing Brochures Marketing Usability Management Web 2.0 Management Campaigns Project Scotland Sites ProjectScotland is a revolutionary volunteering organisation for 16-25-year-olds. www.projectscotland.co.uk The client marketing challenge: As a not-for-profit organisation, I need to maximise my investment in technology, streamline my processes, and make my user interface visually engaging. Our solution: Our solution was centred on people, process and technology, and the interaction between them. The new, visually-rich system has introduced an extremely efficient and streamlined operation that focuses on end-to-end life cycles. This ensures a seamless interaction between volunteers and available placements. Marketing and business benefits: • Increased volunteer placement by 45%, with no need to expand the workforce. • Reduced recruitment costs by 300%. • Greater flexibility, accuracy, and immediacy, saving several hundred manual work hours a year. • Increased productivity through automated processes. • Improved communication with volunteers, resulting in a saving of 60 manual work hours per year and increased customer service levels. • Tangible savings of up to £25k/month by taking the content management of their site in-house, rather than relying on a digital agency.
    • Digital Content Customer Digital Data Mobile On-demand E-mail SEO and Asset Managed Relationship Maketing Visualisation Marketing Brochures Marketing Usability Management Web 2.0 Management Campaigns HMIe Sites Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education in Scotland is an executive agency of the Scottish Government www.hmie.gov.uk The client marketing challenge: I need to be able to upload content remotely and in multi-format versions. Our solution: We developed the overall look and feel of the website, and created bespoke templates for use on the new site. We also configured job roles and workflows which allows HMIE staff members the ability to manage their own content and content submission approval process based on pre-determined security levels and job role identification. Marketing and business benefits: • Centrally managed branding, navigation, layout, and publishing standards through pre-built authoring and presentation templates. • Increased efficiency and reduced costs. • Improved user experience and customer service levels. • Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) AA-level standard site.
    • Digital Content Customer Digital Data Mobile On-demand E-mail SEO and Asset Managed Relationship Maketing Visualisation Marketing Brochures Marketing Usability Management Web 2.0 Management East Lothian Council/enjoyleisure Campaigns Sites East Lothian Council is one of Scotland’s local authorities. In 2009 it established a new trust called enjoyleisure to take over the management of the county’s range of sport and leisure facilities. www.enjoyleisure.com The client marketing challenge: I need an accessible, content-rich website which is a central resource in our extensive customer-focused marketing campaign Our solution: The website project was at the heart of a huge multi-media launch and information campaign (delivered by us) for enjoyleisure, and as such was a primary vehicle for taking the brand forward and informing consumers about the leisure opportunities in the county. We created a bright, attractive, accessible website which appeals to a wide target audience. Colourful imagery and clear navigation promoted the many local, accessible and affordable opportunities and resources. The search functionality was key to the success of this project, to ensure that a comprehensive and complex database of classes, times, prices, and facilities was not only easy to find by the visitor but also easy for the client to update. Marketing and business benefits: • Major public information resource, with user-friendly content and design. • High-profile flagship project to launch the brand and position it as bright and accessible. • Easy content management for internal staff. • Key tool in successfully driving up use of facilities and sign-up to events and initiatives.
