•Employees of State Bank of India would go on 2-day
nationwide strike on November 25 and 26.
•Bank has the largest branch network employs around 2
lakh persons.
•Strike is to push for demands including:

4. 40 unemployed youth get job under SIDBI
programme in Tricity
•More than 30 workers and 40 unemployed youth in
Mohali-Panchkula-Chandigarh tricity got employment
under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Financing &
Development project.
•Unemployed youth mobilized from rural areas on the
outskirts of Tricity were trained successfully and placed in
local MSME units.

•Indra Nooyi has not been made a job offer as Ratan
Tata’s successor.
•Nooyi is of view that if Ratan Tata offered her then it
would be difficult for her to trade a great job for another
great job.
7. Usha Thorat retires
•Reserve Bank of India deputy governor Usha Thorat is
retiring on 9 Nov, after spending 38 years.
•Usha Thorat has been overseeing the departments of
oBanking operations and development
oBanking supervision
oCurrency management
oRural planning
oCredit department
oFinancing inclusion.
