Kathryn Brockmeier and Laura Johnson will discuss the NLC scholarship program and the Continuing Education and Training Grants for 2012.

    to improve library service by improving professional skills through continuing education and training

    Attend an out-of-state professional conference
    Carry out a project

    Grant to individual
    Public library staffers from accredited libraries eligible
    Library-related or directly job-related courses
    Continuing education—no courses that lead to a degree
    100% reimbursement for successfully completed course
    Applications reviewed monthly

    Grant to individual
    Professional, out-of-state, library-related events
    One individual from a library per event
    10% match (reimbursed at 90%)
    Attendees must report via NCompass Live

    Public Library Association Meeting, Philadelphia
    Computers in Libraries, Washington DC
  • 11. Carry Out a Project
    Eligible
     Accredited Nebraska public libraries
    Identified institutional libraries
    Nebraska Regional Library Systems
    Other organizations partnered with an eligible entity
  • 12. Carry Out a Project
     25% Match required, 10% cash
    Grant to entity, not individual
    Must make written report on project
