One of the major hindrances to instructional time and effectiveness is the time invested by teachers doing discipline. In a study in 2004 called Teaching Interrupted 77% of teachers admitted that their teaching would be a lot more effective if they did not have to deal with disruptive students. Often discipline is unsuccessful with many offenders and offenses being repeated. Schools are forced to spend money on in school suspension and detention programs that fail to correct the problem. This program provides a cost effective way to increase instructional time and provide real life problem solving.
