Newcastle College Library Services  Finding resources is easy:  Use the Libraries’ in-house Computer Catalogues.  Browse our printed Subject Guides.  Search the Library Catalogue online at http://library.ncl-coll.ac.uk/  Download the “Softlink Library Link” App from iTunes or Google Play Store.  Ask the Library Staff for help.   5. 5. Books Newcastle College Library Services * 7-Day Loan texts may only be borrowed for one week. You can renew any items, unless they are reserved.  Further Education Students can borrow 6 books* at a time, for up to 3 weeks.  Higher Education Students can borrow 10 books* at a time, for up to 3 weeks.
  6. 6. Audio-Visual Collection Newcastle College Library Services  Whatever your taste in music, we have CDs that will interest you.  We have a wide selection of DVDs too.  Students can borrow any 3 Sound & Vision items for up to one week.
  7. 7. Magazines & Periodicals Newcastle College Library Services  We also stock general interest magazines and specialist journals.  You can borrow 1 current issue and 5 back copies of any magazine overnight.

Fines Newcastle College Library Services  Standard Book Loans : 10p per day  7-Day Book Loans : 20p per day  Magazine Loans : 20p per day  Audio-Visual Loans : 20p per day  We charge fines on Library items to encourage their prompt return, so that everyone can have the chance to use them.

Newcastle College Library Services Manage your Account online  Go to http://library.ncl-coll.ac.uk …or go via the Library pages on NCG Online  Click “Login”, and type in your Student ID Number and Library Password (if you have not already set this, leave the Password box blank when you first log in. You’ll then be prompted to choose a Password for yourself).  On the Home Screen, click “Current Loans” or “Loans” from the left-hand Menu. … then click the green Renew arrow next to the items you want to keep longer.  Update your Library Account (e.g. if you change home/email address, or mobile phone number) by clicking “Details” in the left-hand Menu. Use your usual Newcastle College Username (eg “s” + Student ID Number) and Library Password
