  1. 1. Slideshare Learn how to sign up & create a slideshow with audio
  2. 2. You will need: <ul><li>A computer </li></ul><ul><li>An internet connection </li></ul><ul><li>An email address </li></ul><ul><li>An account with Slideshare </li></ul><ul><li>A powerpoint presentation file of a lesson </li></ul><ul><li>An audio recording of the lesson </li></ul>
  3. 3. Internet <ul><li>Connect to the internet </li></ul><ul><li>Open an internet browser window </li></ul><ul><li>Enter in the url address field </li></ul><ul><li>Click on GO or press enter </li></ul>

Files to create a presentation: <ul><li>Members can create slideshows with these file formats: </li></ul><ul><li>Presentations : </li></ul><ul><li>PowerPoint - ppt, pps, pot, pptx, potx, ppsx </li></ul><ul><li>OpenOffice - odp, pdf </li></ul><ul><li>Apple Keynote - key, zip or pdf </li></ul><ul><li>Documents & Spreadsheets : </li></ul><ul><li>Microsoft Office - doc, docx, rtf, xls </li></ul><ul><li>OpenOffice - odt, ods, pdf; iWork Pages </li></ul><ul><li>For anything else, saving as a pdf usually works </li></ul><ul><li>Or send a slideshare URL that only those you give it to can use to view the slide presentation </li></ul><ul><li>Embed it on an educational platform like moodle or blackboard </li></ul>

Create a slideshow <ul><li>Create a slideshow presentation with the following </li></ul><ul><li>programmes and save the file on your computer </li></ul><ul><li>Windows: </li></ul><ul><li>PowerPoint </li></ul><ul><li>OpenOffice </li></ul><ul><li>Microsoft Office </li></ul><ul><li>MAC </li></ul><ul><li>Apple Keynote </li></ul><ul><li>OpenOffice </li></ul><ul><li>iWork Pages </li></ul>
  10. 10. Create an audio file <ul><li>Connect a set of headphones with a mic to your computer </li></ul><ul><li>Open the programme Audacity Free to download from For windows also download Lame encoder </li></ul><ul><li>Make a recording – to learn how go here </li></ul>
  11. 11. Upload presentation Step 8. Click on the Browse and select files button Step 9. Browse for your presentation file
  12. 12. Enter details Step 10. Enter details to be published Step 10. Select privacy settings and click on Publish

  14. 14. View published slideshow Step 12. Click on the title of your slideshow to view
  15. 15. Press play Step 13. Press play or click on arrows to progress through slideshow Step 14. Click on Add mp3 link to add audio
  16. 16. Upload audio Step 15. Click on Upload Mp3 file button Step 16. Browse for audio file
  17. 17. Synchronise audio to slides Step 16. Click on a slide Step 17. Drag slider to sync audio with slide
  18. 18. Publish slides with audio Step 18. Click the save and publish button Step 19. View presentation in your account
