150-Room WaterfrontHampton Inn & SuitesConstruction Began in March 2012 This $20 million project was the first significant hotel investment project in downtown Owensboro in several decades, and will service the new Convention/Events Center

In March 2012, the City of Owensboro announced a preliminaryagreement with Boardwalk Pipeline Partners and Riverfront Jam,LLC to relocate its Owensboro headquarters to Downtown. The$44 million project also involves the construction of a new 120-room Holiday Inn, mixed-use condominiums along the Ohio River,and a privately-funded marina between the Convention Center andEnglish Park

Pedestrian-Oriented Street Improvements The much-anticipated street improvements—including curb bump-outs, brick pavers, enhanced landscaping, and sidewalk extensions from Veterans Blvd to 9th Street—will begin in the Summer of 2012
