    •  DEFINE AS: the process by which an individual selects, organizes and interpret stimuli into meaningful and coherent picture of the world.   2 different people can have different perception for same stimuli.  > so as per needs , values and expectations. 2

    • •Why We Study Perceptions  To better understand how people make attributions about events.  We don’t see reality. We interpret what we see and call it reality.  The attribution process guides our behavior, regardless of the truth of the attribution. 5

    • 15Organizational Behavior / Perception Shortcuts in judging others  Selective Perception : People selectively interpret what they see on the basis of their interests, background, experience and attitudes.  Halo Effect : Drawing a general impressions about an individual on the basis of a single charecteristics.
