    5. 5. Medical Surplus Program • US hospitals throw away 2 million tons of medical waste each year • Mano a Mano volunteers save nearly 200,000 pounds of supplies from US landfills each year and ship them to Bolivia
    6. 6. Supplies are distributed to Mano a Mano’s network of clinics and to other organizations in Bolivia • 7,527 requests for donations have been filled in Bolivia since 1995
