Personality Differences Bound Together - Presentation Transcript

    1. Bound Together
      Premarital Education Workshop
    2. We look different.
    3. We talk differently.
      How are y’all doin’?
      G’day, mate!
    4. We are different on the inside, too.
This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine…
    5. Personality differences can cause problems for couples.
      My light is the best!
      No! My light is right!
    6. Knowing how you’re different can ease the friction
      Your light is really pretty.
I like your light in my life.
    7. Ready to learn about those personality differences?
    8. Introverts & Extroverts
      Introverts live inside their heads.
Extroverts need to be around others.
    9. Introverts+ Extroverts = Love
      Introverts in relationships…
May feel overwhelmed by Extroverts’ constant chatter.
Need more alone time than Extroverts.
Process their thoughts in their head and talk once they’ve figured it all out.
    10. Introverts +Extroverts= Love
Think out loud and appreciate feedback from their partner.
Feel energized when they’re around others.
May feel shut out by an Introverted partner.
      Extroverts in relationships…
    11. Introverts + Extroverts = LOVE
Introverts, remember that your Extroverted lover is simply “thinking out loud”, not trying to annoy the crap out of you. Relax and simply let him/herchat away. Also, don’t forget to let your partnerin on what you’re thinking, as well.
Extroverts, when your Introverted lover seems zoned out or insists on some quiet time don’t freak out. This isn’t a sign of his/her lack of love or interest in you, it’s a sign of a tired Introvert.
Deciding together when the best times are for both of you to talk or hang out is a great way for Introverts and Extroverts to connect and respect each other’s personalities at the same time.
    12. Introversion and Extroversion are only one of the personality differences you and your partner may have.
