Book Fare. </li></ul><ul><li>Facilitator for their “Letters to a Young Brother” series. </li></ul><ul><li>Outreach: Represented S.P.L. at Annual Chinatown/International District Summer Festival </li></ul>

Be Responsive <ul><li>Currently working with volunteers at North Portland to construct pilot class curriculum for formal job-seeking skill course </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborated with Easter Seals to ensure curriculum for job seekers is inclusive considering a variety of age ranges and physical abilities and learning levels </li></ul><ul><li>Joint venture with Mt. Hood C.C. to allow students to use GSM lab to learn new registration system </li></ul>

Small Changes, Big Impact <ul><li>Emphasize wealth of culture in community through outreach that encourages people to take ownership </li></ul><ul><li>Partnership: Find out what local organizations offer mutually beneficial opportunities </li></ul><ul><li>Be Pragmatic: See every task is an opportunity learn </li></ul>

Using green technology to enhance and improve a existing structure </li></ul></ul>

Be, Open Be Inclusive <ul><li>Intercambio: Language exchange </li></ul><ul><li>2002, MCL receives the Estela and Raúl Mora Award for its El día de los niños/El día de los libros celebration </li></ul><ul><li>Inclusion of the Portland Cello Project, indie group Horse Feather alongside the Oregon Symphony </li></ul>
