Remote Surveillance System for Driver Drowsiness inReal-time Using Low-cost Embedded PlatformAIM:The main aim the project is to design “Remote Surveillance Systemfor Driver Drowsiness in Real-time Using Low-cost EmbeddedPlatform”.ABSTRACT:Remote Surveillance System for Driver Drowsiness is the driver monitoringsystem. The system captures driver’s eye movements by means of webcam tomonitor driver attentiveness.Our Embedded project is to design and develop a low cost feature which isbased on embedded platform for finding the driver drowsiness. Specifically, ourEmbedded System includes a webcam placed on the steering column which iscapable to capture the eye movements. If the driver is not paying attention to theroad ahead, driver drowsiness is detected, the system will warn the driver bygiving the warning sounds and the capture information goes to the owner’s mobileas MMS through Gprs module.Our Embedded System uses ARM 32-bit micro controller has a feature ofimage processing technique.
