  • A MORE EFFICIENT ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMBASED ON ZIGBEE COMMUNICATION ANDINFRARED REMOTE CONTROL(ABSTRACT)AIM:The main aim the project is to design “More efficient energymanagement system based on zigbee communicationand infrared remote control”.COMPONENTS:LPC2148 (ARM7)/ AT89S52, IR transmitter, IR receiver, Zigbeeand devices.EXISTING METHOD:The present existing method is to manage home energy systemthrough remote control. The main disadvantage of this present methodis that we can manage home energy system to only the devices presentinside a single room. Because the remote control can control thedevices in short range only. Since inside a remote control we are usingIR sensors which will sends signals in short range only.PROPOSED METHOD:In the proposed method we are combining two wirelesstechnology in order overcome the disadvantage of the existing method.Here we are using both zigbee and IR to manage home energy system.www.nanocdac.com www.nsrcnano.com branches: hyderabadnagpur
  • We can manage energy in all the rooms present inside a house by usingthis technology.This project demonstrates the concept of IR and ZigBee to ZigBeeDevice control scheme for single media multiple devices, in whichthere are home appliances like air-conditioner, electric fan, audio,display device, electric lamp, curtain, electro motion chair, fragrancegenerator, flash light, fan heater and heater, etc. devices which are notin the line of sight and will present in different room in a homeCannot be controlled simply by using IR whose distance will be shortdistance and line of sight only. This can be solved by the combination ofIR and ZigBee.In our proposed system we will give the control signals from theremote controller which is again given to ZigBee then to another Zigbeewhich may present out of line of sight.
