1. 1. ECO FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
2. 2.
 3. 3. ECO –FRIENDLY
Definition:
Which are not harmful to the environment.
Eco-friendly is used to refer the goods and services
considered to reduce or not to harm the environment.
To make consumers aware about the eco-friendly goods
and services, often are marked with eco-labels. But
because there is no single international standard for this
concept, the International Organization for
Standardization considers such labels too vague to be
meaningful
4. 4. WHY WE SHOULD BE ECO-FRIENDLY
TO REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING.
TO MAINTAIN ECOLOGICAL BALANCE.
TO AVOID AFFORESTATION.
TO REDUCE EXPLOITATION OF RESOURCES.
TO ADAPT GREEN WAY AS IT’S THE BEST WAY.
5. 5. ECO-FRIENDLY CLOTHING
Below is a list of eco-friendly fibers that are use to make garments :-

BAMBOO.
 6. 6. SOY.
 7. 7. ORGANIC COTTON.
 8. 8. RECYCLED POLYESTER.
 9. 9. CRUELTY-FREE SILK.
 10. 10. ULTRASUEDE.

ECO-FRIENDLY FERTILIZERS
THE PROBLEM
1. CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS
The chemical fertilizers which are extensively used to extract
more produce of crops has tremendous effect on the environment .
2. Harmful effects
Affects the soil
Affects the water
Affects the human health and cattle
Affects the food quality
Affects the atmosphere
THE FIRST FERTILIZER MANUFACTURING UNIT WAS SET UP IN 1906 AT RANIPAT IN CHENNAI WITH THE PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF 6000ml OF SINGLE SUPER PHOSPHATE PER ANNUM
11. 11.
 12. 12. Organic bio-fertilizers
Organic Bio-fertilizers are eco-friendly fertilizers, which are being
used to improve the quality and fertility of the soil.
Bio-fertilizers are made from biological wastes and they do not
contain any chemicals. These fertilizers fixes atmospheric nitrogen
into the soil.
The main sources of bio-fertilizers are bacteria, fungi and cyno
bacteria (blue-green algae).
These fertilizers harness atmospheric nitrogen.
They provide the plant with nutrition
AZOTOBACTER
PHOSPHOBACTERIA
13. 13. NEEM BASED FERTILIZERS
NEEM BASED FERTILIZERS
Research has proved that neem’s are not only great eco-friendly fertilizers but also
have no after effects.
Part of Neem Used as Fertilizer
Neem Seed Cake: Matter left after oil is squeezed out from seeds, is popularly known
as the seed cake; It acts as a bio fertilizer and helps in providing the required nutrients
to plants. It is widely used to ensure a high yield of crops. Neem is used
as a fertilizer both for food as well as cash crops, particularly vegetables and
sugarcane.
ADVANTAGES
ACTS AS PESTICIDES AS WELL AS FERTILIZERS.
ACTS AS SOIL ENRIECHER.
PROVIDES MACRO NUTRIENTS ESSENTIAL FOR ALL PLANT GROWTH.
HELPS TO INCREASE PLANT YIELD.
BIO-DEGRADABLE & ECO FRIENDLY.
EXCELLENT SOIL CONDITIONER.
NEEM HAS GREAT OVERSEAS DEMAND DUE TO ITS QUALITATIVE ADVANTAGES
15. 15. ECO-FRIENDLY CLOTHING
Below is a list of eco-friendly fibers that are use to make garments :-

BAMBOO.
 16. 16. SOY.
 17. 17. ORGANIC COTTON.
 18. 18. RECYCLED POLYESTER.
 19. 19. CRUELTY-FREE SILK.
 20. 20. ULTRASUEDE.

ECO FRIENDLY HOUSES..
21. 21. WHAT ARE ECO FRIENDLY HOUSES?
THEY INCLUDE NATURE FAVOURABLE PRODUCTS.
The building and the people living there need to believe in the harmony of land and nature, and make it practical.

Natural resources, such as sunlight, should be used to cut down

on the use of electricity.

Windows should be located at strategic places to enable sunlight

in to save energy.

Rainwater harvesting, solar water heating systems and sewage

treatment plants are being promoted by builders in most of their
projects.
22. 22. IDEALLY A ECO FRIENDLY HOUSE SHOULD HAVE:
SOLAR PANEL
WIND TURBINE
HEAT PUMP
GREEN TRAVEL
UNDER FLOOR HEATING
INSULATION
PLUMBING
GARDENING
23. 23. CONTI…
ENERGY EFFICIENT APPLIANCES
VENTILATION
MULTI FUEL STOVE
THESE ARE A FEW IMPORTANT ON TO MENTION.
WE CAN USE ECO FRIENDLY PAINTS.
24. 24. WHY ECO FRIENDLY HOUSES?
TO REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING
TO MAINTAIN ECOLOGICAL BALANCE
TO AVOID AFFORESTATION
TO REDUCE EXPLOITATION OF RESOURCES
TO ADAPT GREEN WAY AS IT’S THE BEST WAY
EG:EMPLOYING GOBAR GAS PLANT
25. 25. ECO-FURNITURES
26. 26. BENEFITS
LESS USE OF WOOD AND MORE USE OF WASTE PRODUCTS.
ECO-FURNITURES CAN BE EASILY SEPARATED AND RECYCLED.
CHAIRS MADE FROM STRAW PARTICLEBOARD AND RECYCLED STEEL.
THEY MADE FROM SUNFLOWER BOARD,WHEAT PANELS,WROUGHT IRON,ETC.
27. 27. ECO-FRIENDLY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
28. 28. Hydrogen Car
Water Powered Cars or Hydrogen/Oxygen Powered Cars, use 100% water as fuel. By
splitting water by electrolysis and creating hydrogen/oxygen gas, you can replace gasoline.

If all ICE motors (Internal Combustion Engines) were converted to burn hydrogen and oxygen

in the water, as fuel to propel our cars, trucks, semi's etc…..
We would no longer need gas stations, oil tankers, refineries, SMOG and war.

The Ozone would get healed and we would survive. God will then once again smile down on

the earth, instead of letting the powers to be, destroy it.

If we stopped producing SMOG, the ozone and global warming and greenhouse effects would

go away or atleast we can have control on it.
29. 29. Electric Cars/Bikes
“Electric Car" generally refers to road-going automobiles powered by electricity.
While an electric car's power source is not explicitly an on-board battery, electric cars with motors powered by other energy sources are generally referred to by a different name.
An electric car powered by sunlight is a solar car, and an electric car powered by a gasoline generator is a form of hybrid car.
An electric car that derives its power from an on-board battery pack is called a battery electric vehicle (BEV). Most often, the term "electric car" is used to refer to pure battery electric vehicles, such as the REVAi and GM EV1.
Y0-BYKE runs on Battery and is the most economical two-wheeler in the world.
For a Y0-bike that costs less than the cheapest petrol scooter, having Self-start, almost zero maintenance cost and almost zero running cost, and totally zero fear.
YO-BYKE needs no License, no PUC, no Registration Certificate, and on number plate.
30. 30.
 31. 31. Eco-friendly Tyres
These tyres employ path-breaking technology which replaces the traditionally used Carbon Black with environment friendly material Silica.
Besides being environmentally less hazardous, silica also promises higher fuel efficiency.
The tyres also offer higher durability as compared to normal radials and offer better resistance against cuts - thanks to its superior compounding technology.
These tyres will also have longer life due to advanced compounding technology - offering excellent performance, handling and braking.
Due to their less rolling resistance, tyres account for 20 to 30 per cent of the less fuel consumption of vehicles.
32. 32. Issues on GaneshChaturthi
33. 33. The Problem
With the immersion of these idols in the sea or inland water bodies such as lakes and streams, the chemicals in these idols dissolve in the water and makes the water polluted.

Plastic and thermocol waste,

including polythene bags
containing offerings, are non-
degradable.

People who use such water

experiences health
problems
34. 34. SOLUTIONS

Always go for those made of unbaked natural clay, natural fibre, or even recycled paper. Ensure that the dyes used to colour the idols are organic or vegetable in origin.

Do not use thermocol or plastic as decorations or accessories for your Ganpati idol. Instead, use cloth, wood, paper, and other natural materials that are safer when immersed in water.
Immerse the idol in a tub or a tank specially made for the purpose. Later, you can discard the water by pouring it into your garden.
If there is an artificial tank in your area specifically created for immersion purposes, use this instead of a natural source of water such as a lake or a stream.
