  • 2. What Is An Internet The intenet is a worldwide, publicly accessible series of interconnected computer networks that trasmit data by packet switching using the standard protocol (ip).
  • 3. History Of Internet The internet evolved from 1960 US Defence Department experiment in computer networking called ARPAnet. its goal was to allow different kinds of computers to interconnect , so that researchers could share data.
  • 4. Technical terms World wide web It is a system of interlinked hypertext documents accessed via the Internet.
  • 5. URL - OverviewA uniform resource locater is a means of specifyingthe pathname for any resource on the internet orintranet. It consists of three parts as below. A protocol part: ( http://) Domain name /host part : (www. Example .net) Registered domain name : ( yahoo.com) Complete url : http://www.yahoo.com
  • 6. ProtocolsA protocol is a convention or standard that controlsor enables the connection, communication, and datatransfer between two computing endpoints.
  • 7. Types of protocol Tcp/Ip : (Transmission Control Protocol /Internet Protocol ) Http : (Hypertext Transfer Protocol ) Ftp: (File Transfer Protocol ) Pop: (Post Office Protocol) Nntp : ( Network News Transfer Protocol )
  • 8. Websites This is a collection of web files or web pages, including a Home page.Web page A document written in html can be accessed on the internet.

  • 12. Create E- Mail Id  Click internet browser  Type website name in Address bar  Click sign up option  Mail id form is appeared  Fill information in form  Click create my account button
  • 13. Read Your Mail  Open website  Click sign in option  Click mail option (mail window is displayed)  Click inbox option and click mail subject
  • 14. Send E-mail  Log in with your E-mail ID  Click compose  Write e-mail address , write subject & message( if you want to send file with your mail , then youhave to choose attach file option(attach file dialogbox is display) , select location and choose filename from attach file box and click open button .)  Click send button.Note:- See Reply, Forward and Delete Also.
