Mission Statement
The Chargers Soccer Club is committed to developing excellence in individual and team performance
through a consistent and comprehensive approach to player and team development. Our club seeks to offer
a challenging, competitive and educational program that emphasizes the importance of community,
honesty, integrity and other “life lessons/values” through sports.
About the Club
Based in Clearwater, Tampa and Lakewood Ranch, Florida, the Chargers Soccer Club is a non-profit
organization established to provide an unparalleled personal growth experience through the game of soccer
and to promote life-long participation in the sport. Formed in 1972, the Chargers Soccer Club now serves
over 3,000 youth players on an annual basis. As a member of the United States Youth Soccer Association,
US Club Soccer, US Soccer Developmental Academy and Florida Youth Soccer Association, the Chargers
Soccer Club has produced over 60 State, Regional and National Championships, as well as 100’s of players in
the collegiate and professional ranks.
Programs are provided for Recreational, TOPS (athletes with disabilities), Competitive, Adult and Academy
Level Players.
Our players and families represent over ten counties in the Tampa Bay Area, as well as travel throughout
the State of Florida and the United States to attend Showcase events and play in the various leagues they
are members of.
Annually our club holds several major events and fundraisers that draw an average of 20,000+ attendees
from around the country to our various locations. Funds raised through sponsorships, donations and events
goes towards operating costs, scholarships, as well as maintaining our facilities and our acclaimed coaching
staff.
