  • Services Free and open to all who show interest, follow through, and are age 24 and under. Success has a different meaning for every client, and will be measured as such Education and employment services will be used as a part of the continuum to help clients reach housing and behavioral health goals
  • Workshops are conducted in: Goals and objectives. Resume Building. Life Skills.
  • Depending on the nature of the track, each track will vary slightly but contain similar formatting: Applications vary depending on the functionality of the youth. Interns would be placed with one of our collaborative Partners that best matches the clients interest were possible.
  • Youth working as program out reach workers. Youth interning at separate programs as staff support.

      • 3 months, 20 hr./wk.
    • Can help subsidize vocational/certificate programs.
    • Range of opportunities.

  • Internal Internships
    • Peer facilitated program orientation groups.
    • Various type of opportunities within agency.
    • Youth hosted and planned groups.
  • Building Strong Collaborations
    • Training employers how to work with homeless and at risk youth.
    • Inviting employers to conduct employment workshops with the youth.
    • Having youth perform volunteer hours at employer work sites.
  • Integrating Job Readiness and Post-Secondary
    • Tying employment and education programming together.
    • Including education groups in job readiness training.
    • Conducting college readiness courses.
    • Attending tutoring sessions, or college readiness classes are part of the Internships.
  • Harm Reduction Strategies
    • Meeting a young person were they are at.
    • Motivational interviewing when conducting assessments.
    • Working with youth on identifying employment goals.
    • Creating an employment work plan for each youth that meets their needs and skill set.
