  2. 3. Left to Right Trend Elect-negativity Atomic Radius Why: This occurs because as you go left to right the Number of protons increases and that increases the pull on the shells Back
  3. 4. Going down (group 1) Atomic Radius This occurs because there is a smaller amount of protons as you go down the period so there is a smaller pull on the shells. Electro-negativity This occurs because there is more shielding meaning that there is less pull on the valence electrons and that it will be easier to pull one off. Li Fr Fr Li Back
