    2. 2. What is a Document? <ul><li>Document- piece of work created with an application and saved on a storage with a file name. </li></ul><ul><li>Examples: of applications that documents can be created from: </li></ul><ul><li>Business, Multimedia, School, Personal etc. </li></ul>
    3. 3. What is classified as a document? <ul><li>Spreadsheets </li></ul><ul><li>Files </li></ul><ul><li>Letters </li></ul><ul><li>Reports </li></ul><ul><li>Memos </li></ul><ul><li>Graphics </li></ul><ul><li>To a computer a document is just a collection of characters! </li></ul>

Let’s create a Document.. <ul><li>By using a mouse or keyboard, enter in a text or graphic design </li></ul><ul><li>Edit your document if needed by inserting, deleting, cutting, copying etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Make your document look good!! </li></ul><ul><li>Save, Save, Save- USB drive or hard disk </li></ul><ul><li>Guess what, that’s how you create a document, piece of cake? </li></ul>

    6. 6. What is a Template? <ul><li>Template- a document that contains the format necessary for a specific type. </li></ul><ul><li>Example : You can reuse this document style by saving it as a template for future use. </li></ul>

Let’s create a Template.. <ul><li>Open the document </li></ul><ul><li>Format the document using text that will always </li></ul><ul><li>appear each time you create a new document from the template </li></ul><ul><li>Save your document </li></ul><ul><li>Go to office dialog box, save as template </li></ul><ul><li>Name document something you will recognize </li></ul>
    8. 8. Want to use your Template? <ul><li>Go to files </li></ul><ul><li>At the left, choose open </li></ul><ul><li>Click on recent documents </li></ul><ul><li>Click the template </li></ul><ul><li>Click on template you want </li></ul><ul><li>That’s how you use your template!! </li></ul>
