  • 3. PLAINS AND FLAT LANDS WE CAN SEE:  NO HIGH MOUNTAINS.  FLAT LANDS.  FIELDS AND STRAIGHT ROADS.  VALLEYS AND RIVERS Village Fields
  • 4. COASTAL LANDSCAPES WE CAN FIND:  CLIFFS  BEACH  ISLAND  ARCHIPELAGO (a group of islands)  HARBOUR Beach Cliffs Archipelago Harbour Island
  • 5. THE RAINFOREST  RAINFORESTS ARE HOT AND IT RAINS ALL YEAR.  LOTS OF TREES, PLANTS AND ANIMALS.  ANIMALS WE FIND: AMPHIBIANS, BIRDS, REPTILES, MAMMALS AND INSECTS.
  • 6. THE POLES  IT IS VERY COLD (ICE, SNOW, THE SEA IS FROZEN).  NO TREES.  WE CAN SEE PENGUINS, SEALS, POLAR BEARS, WHALES.  ESKIMOS LIVE IN HOUSES MADE OF ICE (IGLOOS) Click on this picture to watch a video on the ice hotel in sweeden
  • 7. DESERTS IN DESERTS YOU CAN FIND:  SAND  PLANTS: PALM TREES, CACTUS  HOT WEAHER  SCORPIONS  SAND DUNES Sand Palmtrees
  • 8. WOODS AND FORESTS  AN AREA OF TREES (WOODS ARE SMALLER THAN FORESTS).  BUSHES, GRASS, LOTS OF ANIMALS. LOOK AFTER WOODS AND FORESTS FOREST FIRES CAUSES:  FIRES AND BARBECUES.  RUBBISH ON THE GROUND.  VERY HOT WEATHER. CONSEQUENCES:  FIRES DESTROY PLANTS AND TREES.  ANIMALS LOSE HABITATS.  SOME ANIMALS DISAPPEAR.
