  • 1. HIKING IN BAD URACH, GERMANY © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 2. The official map would have been of help – if I would havefollowed it. I have learned that most of the times three typesof paths are available: blue, red and black. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 3. The black ones can be a challenge. I found this out early on when I lost the trail and pushed through the branches leveraging the map on Endomondo to go the right direction. Thank goodness for smart phones and apps! © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.© Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 4. The blue paths are easy to follow. Nice and wide. Gentle up- and downhills. On the official map only the blue trails were shown in red. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.© Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 5. The hike up was rewarded by a viewof a beautiful waterfall. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.

  • 7. A true stair master in the wild. And further upthe trail I went. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 8. On the north slope, I encountered some snow. Determined to continue, I pushed on.© Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 9. First, I saw the magnificent cliffs. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 10. Then, the cute countryside. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 11. The views were breath-taking. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 12. I decided to take a quick break. What better than the sun shining and a view of a castle on the hill in front of me!© Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 13. After a while walking further, it was time to head downwards. Selecting a blackpath, I had a little bit of difficulty trying to determine where to go next. Thearrow pointed down a slope with no path to be seen. After skidding and slidingdownwards, I finally found the path. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 14. Hiking further, I saw the waterfall from below. There is also an option of doing a quick walk directly to the bottom of the waterfalls. It has much gentler slope and can be done quite quickly. The direct hike was done with families pushing trollies, younger children, and the elderly.© Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. • 15. After 15 km hiking up and down the hills, making my own paths andfollowing marked paths, I had reached the starting point of my hike. © Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
  • 16. In addition to beautiful views, some exercise and peace of mind, I rewarded myself with a visit to the springs and Sauna- welt in the town of Bad Urach. Highly recommend checking out the trails, seeing the waterfall and visiting the springs.© Copyright 2012 Myhealthyweight.wordpress.com. All rights reserved.
