OneTouchPoint (OTP), a cornerstone project of GHSC was officially launched by the International Trade and Industry Minister, YB Dato’ Mustapa Mohamed. The Centre offers wide-ranging services that are advantageous for those in the halal industry, both established and aspiring. It is meant to offer comprehensive, integrated and knowledge-oriented services which relevant and central to enhancing public understanding of halal and its expansionary development. Since its commencement in June 2012, OTP attracts more than 1,300 visitors from 33 countries that include the embassies, trade commissioners, business entrepreneurs, broadcasting station from CNBC and Kazakhstan, multi-national companies, government bodies, official delegates and individuals.

During the inaugural launch on 31st December 2008, 200 visitors were recorded on the launch day  In Halal Master Plan Phase 1, it has been rebranded as Global Halal Support Centre (March 2009)  By December 2010, Global Halal Support Centre has received approximately 13million visitors from more than 100 countries. GHSC functions, as close as possible, to be a focal point for companies, investors, researchers professionals as well as service providers in halal industry in order to get in touch with almost all halal-related information. Halal Knowledge Centre An essential arm of the GHSC will be the Halal Knowledge Centre (HKC) which houses the Library, a huge resource of more than 7000 reference materials including books, reports, journals, newspaper clippings and research papers. The Centre is a haven for all forms of Halal literature and current information and statistics on the industry which is one of a kind available in the world. All the current, past papers and poster presentation on R&D presented at HDC’s annual event called the World Halal Research Summit (WHR), are also stored here in the Halal Knowledge Centre for easy user’s reference. The HKC online stores more than 1 million database and market intelligence information covering topics and subjects such as food, agriculture, ingredient compound, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and national export database as well as international fatwas. This is a productive stop to obtain the right information on anything related to Halal development. Project Name HDC Halal Mobile Apps BE PART OF OUR HALAL ECO-SYSTEM Status On-progress (Target : Dec 2012) Halal Apps as tool to grow our Halal Eco-System This World’s First Government Halal Certified premise locator is the first module, developed to assist users to :  Accurately locate halal food premises using the Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.  Users will have the ability to locate halal food premises and restaurants certified by JAKIM within 15km radius from the current location.  This software application is also equipped with performance monitoring system where users could rate the cleanliness of the food premises or restaurants.  In the other modules, users will easily obtain mobile access on the halal directory, news and knowledge. From the same database, it is now much easier to produce an industry statistic. Now, this directory are made available through web, blog with the introduction of World’s First Halal Widget. With these solutions be part of our fleet, HDC is creating another medium in promoting businessmatching, provide tools to verify halal certification and inspire the new entrepreneurs to be halal certified. Project Name HDC iKiosk GHSC Initiative (Expansion Program) 3 Status On-going Part of HDC’s goal is to reach out to the consumers and public and giving out information about Halal and developing the Halal Lifestyle in their daily life. One of the methods to grab the attention of the general public is by disseminating information in the form of Interactive Kiosks (I-Kiosk) which are placed at strategic locations and high density area. The impact study conducted since July 2010 has recorded more than 150,000 users have utilized HDC iKiosk positioned at Carrefour Putrajaya and MyDin USJ.
