One of Houston NW Sunset Rotary Club Members nominated to Texas Womans Hall of Fame 2012 MYESHI BRILEY,MS,HS-BSPMyeshi Briley,MS,HS-BCP was recently nominated to Texas Womans Hall of Fame 2012.Myeshi said: It is such a great honor to be nominated for such a prestigious award, which hasbeen given to former 1st Ladies, Olympic athletes, Teachers and astronauts for the good worksthey have done in Texas.Myeshi Briley,MS,HS-BCP in 2011 was appointed by Governor Rick Perry office, to serveon: TEA Texas Special Education Continuing Advisory Committee.The Texas Special Education Continuing Advisory Committee (CAC) is established as a result of federalregulation and state law for the purpose of providing policy guidance with respect to special educationand related services for children with disabilities in Texas.The Texas Womens Hall of Fame biennial awards ceremony recognizes the achievements ofwomen. Since 1984, the Hall of Fame has honored more than 100 notable women who haveattained significant levels of achievement and whose contributions have made an impact on theState of Texas.Categories of Achievement  Arts This category recognizes significant contributions to or the promotion of the visual, literary, cultural or performing arts, media or communications.  Education This category recognizes outstanding contributions in the fields of math, science or technology education including teachers, librarians, administrators, researchers, or participants in professional education associations.  Leadership This category recognizes leadership excellence in the public and private sectors. The nominees achievements must demonstrate an enduring state impact.  Health and Social Sciences This category recognizes outstanding achievement in the areas of medicine, health and wellness, family and social issues, community health and public health.
