  1. 1. <ul><li>We use reflexive pronouns </li></ul><ul><li>SING.: my self PL.: our selves </li></ul><ul><li>your self your selves </li></ul><ul><li>him self them selves </li></ul><ul><li>her self </li></ul><ul><li>it self </li></ul><ul><li>when the subject and the object are the same person or thing or </li></ul><ul><li>when a person does an action on his/her own (without any help): </li></ul><ul><ul><li>She bought herself a new skirt. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>I enjoyed myself at the party. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>They washed themselves after working in the garden </li></ul></ul><ul><li>However we use each other when 2 or more people do the same action reciprocally: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>We looked at each other (I looked at you and you looked at me). </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>They help each other with their homework (Tom helps Sausan and Susan helps Tom). </li></ul></ul>
