Transcript of "Mychurch File Upload"

 1. 1. We will be overhauling the mychurch.org/_admin page. We will be removing or hiding everything circled below, and replacing reports with a new set of metrics

Completely remove the links circled in red above from this page
 2. 2. For the 2 reports circled in blue, let’s remove the links from this page. Is it also possible to remove the code associated with gathering the data for these reports? The reason for doing this is to remove any code that slows down the database. For example, do some of the real-time queries in User Lifetime Report cause database performance issues? If so, is it possible to remove the underlying code for these reports completely?

Please reply in BZ comments

For the Viral Marketing Stats (http://www.mychurch.org/_admin/reports/virtual_marketing.php), this is what we currently have:

Can we instead use a calendar to let me specify the dates?

This is the same calendar that we use for church events (ex http://mc.purelogics.info/events/eventitem.php?id=0&c=1)
 3. 3. Once I select Start and End dates and click “Go!” – it will return the Viral Report for the specified time period:
 4. 4. Can we make another report called “Retention Metrics” This report will be sub-divided into 3 sections. (Since I will be the only one using this, you can make the interface simple/easy)

a) Total # of church posts, broken down into:
# of Pictures
# of Videos
# of Audio
# of Docs/Files
# of Prayers
# of Classifieds
# of Events
# of Announcements
b) Total # of church post comments # of Pictures
# of Videos
# of Audio
# of Docs/Files
# of Prayers
# of Announcements
c) # of churches with activity(where activity is defined as a new member, new post, or new comment)
All these metrics will follow the queries you did in bug 2758. The UI will follow #3:
