Leaders Town Hall: This forum will feature presentations and a town hall

style discussion with the Army's senior officials.

October 22, 0800-1100- Military Family Forum II- The Performance Triad: A

Holistic Approach to Self-Care: This forum will explore holistic approaches

to caring for one's self and family. New and innovative programs from the

Department of the Army and the Department of Defense will be discussed.

October 22, 1300-1600- Military Family Forum III- Community Resources: A

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood: This forum will showcase the growing

support of military families by civilian organizations through private

/public partnerships with the military community.

October 23, 0800-1100- Military Family Forum IV- Expanding Our Reach: Our

Neighborhood Knows No Bounds: This forum will explore innovative uses of

social media and advanced technology in the military family communications

arena. Featured speakers will share techniques and successful approaches to

building a virtual support community.

Harvest Festival this Saturday We're on the final count down for the Harvest Festival this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The kids (and kid at heart) are going to love the hayrack rides, hay bale play area, corn pit, craft corner and make-your-own butter station. We hope to see you Saturday!   3. 3. Fort Riley to offer a Prescription Drug Collection Point from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 23 to 24 at the Main Exchange. Learn more: http://ow.ly/paedJ. Come out to the range Oct 19th for our second annual Night Flyer Shoot. We will shoot white targets with the occasional orange “prize clays” mixed in. This competition will consist of 4 rounds of Skeet. Price does not include ammo. Pre-registration is required, please call 785-2392271 to reserve your spot. Deadline to register is 17 Oct COB. Shooting will begin at Dusk, approx time 6:50PM. Cost is $25 per Person

The Zoo's five candy trails will open from Noon to 4:30pm each day; guests are encouraged to wear costumes as they visit over 20 candy stations sponsored by local businesses and not-for-profit organizations.   5. 5. Calling all BBQ Teams!! Fort Riley is hosting a BBQ for the Troops BBQ competition!! This is a great way to get involved and give back to our Wounded Warriors. The BBQ for the Troops will be Nov. 2nd at Riley's Conference Center. All meat is provided for all the teams, no outside meat is allowed in the competition . Click the link for more information! Each team will get the chance to be partnered with a Wounded Warrior Soldier. The winning team will win this BBQ smoker for their Wounded Warrior Solder. Event begins at at 6pm

Did you know Fort Riley Recycle Center collects materials from several selfservice drop off points, which are located at both PX's. the MAAF and outside the Recycle Center (Bldg. 1980) it-self. The items accepted at the Recycle Center are: Cardboard, All plastic, All colors of Glass, White Office paper, Phone books, Cereal boxes,Colored Paper, Envelopes, Newspaper, Aluminum, Steel, Toner Cartridges and White StyroFoam.
