Each year Cork Institute of Technology holds an Information Day for Guidance Counsellors. Guidance Counsellors invited to attend the event which covers a series of information talks relating to new and exciting developments taking place in CIT. The day provides an opportunity for Guidance Counsellors to engage in an open forum and bring forth any queries or issues that they may have regarding their interaction with CIT.

  8. 8. CIT Engineering Roadshow  New initiative launched in October 2013  Roadshow initially visiting five locations around the County with an additional event in CIT. Transition Year Event  Engineering Your Future Transition Year Programme  First offered in CIT in May, 2013 involving 26 students from eight schools  Week long, ‘hands-on’ Programme  Wide range of activities including industry/site visits, workshops, presentations and project work  Planned for May 2014 with Application Forms available on line from Engineers Ireland in January/February, 2014  “Fun and informative week” “Engineering has something for everyone” “A great week of learning and fun” “Gave us a clear understanding of engineering as a profession” “Good overview of every aspect of Engineering” “The best week of Transition Year by far”. 12/11/2013 10
