Why Sharing Knowledge is Important ? <ul><li>Intangible products - ideas, processes, information are taking a growing share of global trade. </li></ul><ul><li>People don’t take a job for life any more </li></ul><ul><li>&quot;Our problem as an organization is that we don't know what we know&quot; </li></ul><ul><li>Accelerating change - technology, business and social </li></ul>
  3. 3. Sharing Should Be Our Personal Interest <ul><li>Knowledge is perishable </li></ul><ul><li>By sharing your knowledge, you gain more then you lose </li></ul><ul><li>To get most things done in an organisation today requires a collaborative effort </li></ul>

Making It Happen <ul><li>Ask for feedback </li></ul><ul><li>Asking questions </li></ul><ul><li>Telling people what you plan to do before doing it </li></ul><ul><li>Asking other people for help </li></ul><ul><li>Asking someone to work with you in some way - however small </li></ul><ul><li>Telling people what you are doing and more importantly why you are doing it. </li></ul><ul><li>Asking people what they think; asking them for advice </li></ul><ul><li>Asking people what would they do differently </li></ul><ul><li>Not just sharing information but know-how and know-why </li></ul>
