  3. 3. INTRODUCTIONThe ability to access jobs, education, and public servicesis a fundamental part of human development. Anefficient and cost effective public transport systemessentially connects people to daily life. For many cites, though, effective public transport has been forgone,leaving mobility needs exclusively in the hands of privatevehicles and uncoordinated paratransit operators.These cities have been largely unprepared for theconsequences, including severe traffic congestion, air andnoise pollution, accidents, and the loss a sense ofcommunity. A high-quality public transport systemremains an indispensable element in creating a citywhere people and community comes first.
  4. 4. THE PROPOSE OF THIS RESEARCH Make improvements in the planning and design of public transport services in these five cities:1- Kajang2- Bangi3- Putrajaya4- Bandar Seri Putra5- Nilai 3
  5. 5. Therefore it’s required to study public transportdemand and requirement in 2020 for thesecities, which will be done by:1- Urban transport study of these cities.2- Studying of the current public transport.3- Solutions for the problems of the urban transport.
  6. 6. STUDY AREA KAJANGKajang, is a town in theeastern part of Selangor,Malaysia. Kajang is the districtcapital of Hulu Langat. It islocated 21 kilometers (13 mi)from of Malaysias capital,Kuala Lumpur.
  7. 7. BANGIBangi is a small town situated on thesouth of the district of Hulu Langat, inSelangor, Malaysia. It is roughly situatedbetween the towns of Kajang (9kilometres away) and Putrajaya formerlyPrang Besar) (also 9 kilometres away),and is linked to KTM Komuter commutertrain services via the Bangi Komuter station.The town is surrounded by palm oilestates; a Malaysian Palm Oil Board/UKMresearch station is also based close tothe town.
  8. 8. PUTRAJAYAPutrajaya is a planned city, located 25km south of Kuala Lumpur that serves asthe Federal administrative centre of Malaysia. The seat of government wasshifted in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya, due to the overcrowding and congestion in the Kuala Lumpur areas. It has a total area of 49 km2.
  9. 9. BANDAR SERI PUTRABandar Seri Putra (formerlyBandar Putra Mahkota) isknown to many as the SeriPutra is a new township inHulu Langatdistrict, Selangor DarulEhsan, Malaysia.Accessible via a dedicatedPutra MahkotaInterchange EXIT 213 offthe North- SouthExpressway SouthernRoute.
