  • 1. • We cannot do anything about what happened to us; we have to accept them. • But we can do something about how we respond to what happened to us. • When we respond wholesomely the demonic have no influence over us.
  • 2. 1. Doesn’t internal demon- ization imply the believer is demon possessed? • KJV poorly translates the Greek verb “daimonizomai” as “demon-possessed.” • But “demonize” means “to be subject to demonic influence.”
  • 3. 2. How can a Christian who has the HS living in him have the demons in him? • First, to be filled with the Spirit is not primarily about space. • Second, Scripture also talks about degrees of yieldedness to the HS,
  • 4. • By erasing the record that stood against us and satisfying its legal demands. • By liberating us from sin, He has also liberated us from Satan’s bondage.
  • 5. 1. We need to appropriate the blood of Jesus. 2. We follow the pattern of Jesus’ victory: forgiveness first, then freedom. 3. We deal with the person; not the demon. 4. We may have to confront the devil. 5. We pray for the filling of the HS.
