    1. Samples from Love & Strength By Munnan Misra
    2. 1. My Prayer
      • By  Munnan
      • No stone may turn when I walk,
      • No being may pain when I talk,
      • No man may dread of my knock,
      • And this I ask of You to stock. ©  Munindra Misra
    3. 2. My Father
      • By  Munnan ©  Munindra Misra
      • He is a man immortal, He is a man not passable, He is a man who's unique, He is a man with technique.
      • He is kind, he is pure, He is simple, he is sure, He is generous and a genius, He is gentle and a serious.
      • He is my father and no more, He is my love that's for sure, He is the candle with the light, Which shows the path of my life.
    4. 3. Smoke
      • By  Munnan ©  Munindra Misra
      • The soul of fire rises from its pyre,
      • Shades deeper does it go shyer,
      • Effortlessly meandering its way higher,
      • Into nothingness - yet from every fire.
    5. 4. Silent Death
      • By  Munnan ©  Munindra Misra
      • With cries unheard, With tearless tears, With wrought un-thought, The leaf swaying drops. [1]
      • A thick thicker than thickest, Where not a ray does peep, No leaf to touch or stone, But shed with soundless moan. [2]
      • The merciless sun does beat, The life which is so sweet, And leaves it standing bare, Naked - none to care. [3]
      • It crumples and drops, As sun mercilessly chops, To mix with soil below, Dried, crushed - No growth! [4]
    6. 5. Labour Of Great Be Shared – Not Their Spoils
      • By  Munnan ©  Munindra Misra
      • The low and humble, high and great,
      • Labouring together - achievement at stake,
      • Egypt - labours and Pharaohs did make,
      • Pyramids - proclaiming Pharaohs great.
      • The seven wonders of our world,
      • Owe aspiring, lacking in words,
      • Are said to be the make of you,
      • Pharaohs, Mughuls or kingly few.
      • Have not the low too joint hands ?
      • Have not the humble made the strands ?
      • Have the others ground their sand ?
      • To create these wonder - make the stand ?
      • The labour of the great be shared,
      • By one and all - they may pair,
      • But rewards are not to be touched,
      • Spoils for great - rest are crushed.
    7. 18. The Worldly Ways
      • By  Munnan ©  Munindra Misra
      • The world, the din, the time, the kin,
      • In our days are a sin,
      • Love's condemned and not true,
      • A farce for sex, a laugh at You. [1]
      • Simplicity is a crime,
      • Frauds and liers are divine,
      • Sex is worshiped, live not true,
      • Cheat be cheated our motos new. [2]
      • Love is lost - so dear to You,
      • And lovers are but a few,
      • 'Cause they know that live if hell,
      • As customs are but their cell. [3]
      • The lies, the crime, the evil ways,
      • Are the paths of our days,
      • We love our neighbour as love's not true,
      • And hate the others cause they do too. [4]
    8. 28. The Certainty Of Life – Death
      • By  Munnan ©  Munindra Misra
      • From the dawn of birth, Till the eve of death, From child birth’s cry, Till man’s death sigh. [1]
      • Man’s ego rules his mind, Emotions that he can’t bind, Fooling himself – all’s sublime, But that clasp of Death – Its Devine. [2]
      • Lo how foolish man can be, What’s definite not think he, Except of life – its jubilees, Its sorrows and its miseries. [3]
      • Death – but that is a certainty, With ever step approaches he, But thinking only of supremacy, Unconquerable as though be he. [4]
      • Man is born with a cry, And in lifetime that flies, He succeeds where others tried, But with a groan he does die. [5]
      • Birth and death are much alike, Two shores of a river’s flight, As the dawn with its sunlight, And the dusk approaching the night. [6]
    9. My Date with Nature You have a heart, you have a face, You are a girl with a grace, You are simple, you are true, You are catching and I love you. . . . . She is the Queen of the queens, A matchless beauty the kind unseen, Her face is pure the kind adored, Her eyes her lips bewildering. Extracts from `My Date With Nature' By  Munnan  ©  Munindra Misra
    10. Aim Of Life Speech one may regret, Silence no sorrow begets, Humility be born before honour, Soft answer turns wrath's corner. Man but be lost in wishes, Of wealth, fame and riches, This airy castle he stitches, With logic that are his ditches. Richness and fat does need, In logic clever fine deeds, But paunches never do breed, Fine thoughts or sublime seeds. - Extracts from `Aim of Life' By  Munnan  ©  Munindra Misra
    11. A dog to vomit does turn, A fool to folly returns, The wise err but learn, Gaining from each burn. Hypocrisy a homage is true, That vice pays to virtue, Be man himself so true, That no false does he brew. - Extracts from `Aim of Life' By  Munnan  ©  Munindra Misra
