Five fatal mistakes in English usageGee, deanbush. Of course spellcheck doesn’t catch all errors. But only an inexperienced writer would avoid it for that reason. I’m a little forgiving of students who use the wrong homonym--just as I’m a bit forgiving of your use of the singular in your first sentence when clearly you meant to use a plural--but a student in this era who turns in a paper with a spelling error that would have been caught by a simple spell check has, in my view, committed a "fatal error." The paper gets an "F".3 years ago

Introduction to 1910The original Powerpoint features extensive notes for each slide, so it is easy to deliver an evocative introduction to this time period. This slideshow is intended to support teachers leading their students on Expeditions to 1910 as part of the Heritage Project (www.montanaheritageproject.org).
To get the original Powerpoint with notes on CD for $10, contact the Heritage Project at the website above.3 years ago

Do what you want. This is mostly derivative work--a quick illustration for a high school class. I wrote the text but the images, including the collage for the title slide, come from here: http://crowemovies.tripod.com/casablanca/4 years ago

CasablancaNice of you to offer praise, jboutelle.
A mild note: these materials are intended for high school students and a bit of decorum in language would be appreciated.
Thanks.
